  • Patent number: 10821765
Abstract: A security feature, a document including a security feature, and a method of producing a document are provided. In one example a security document is disclosed to include a substrate having a micro-replicated lacquer applied to a first side of the substrate and a metal complex ink applied to the first side of the substrate thereby covering the micro-replicated lacquer applied to the first side of the substrate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 10, 2018
Date of Patent: November 3, 2020
    Assignee: ASSA ABLOY AB
    Inventor: Eric MacKenzie Peters
  • Patent number: 10350935
Abstract: A security feature, a document including a security feature, and a method of producing a document are provided. In one example a security document is disclosed to include a substrate having an embossed lacquer applied to a first side of the substrate and a metal complex ink applied to the first side of the substrate thereby covering the embossed lacquer applied to the first side of the substrate. The security document further includes a laser feature created in the metal complex ink.

  • Publication number: 20150186768
Abstract: A transponder having a transparent conductive material deposited thereon is disclosed. Specifically, the transparent conductive material forms an antenna or antenna portion of the transponder. The transparent conductive material includes a plurality of nanometer-sized materials that are integrated in a polymer solution. The nanometer sized materials are smaller than the wavelengths of visible light and therefore do not block or interfere with the visible light rays transmitted. Even at relatively high loading levels for the nanometer sized materials in the polymer solution, the polymer solution remains transparent in the visible light spectrum. The resulting conductive coating is also substantially transparent in the visible spectrum.

  • Publication number: 20070175298
Abstract: A method for refining non-ferrous metal wherein a stream of oxygen containing gas is provided from a lance into the headspace of a refining vessel for passage to the molten metal bath within the refining vessel, and a flame envelope is provided around and along the oxygen containing gas stream for a portion of its length, wherein the flame envelope simultaneously serves to keep accretions from forming on the lance face and serves to maintain the oxygen-containing gas stream coherent.
