  • Patent number: 11253901
Abstract: An indirect electrohydraulic draw-forming tool includes a body having a tubular cylindrical area, a chamber intended to be filled with a liquid, two electrodes, each of the electrodes having a portion arranged in the chamber, a punch. The tool also includes a piston mounted so as to slide in a sealed manner within the cylindrical area and sealingly defining the chamber. Moreover, the punch is carried by the piston on a face thereof that is opposite to the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20200391321
Abstract: A method for assembling a ring inside a tubular component by magnetic pulse welding. The thickness of the wall of the tubular component is reduced to form a trapezoidal recess on the periphery of a longitudinal portion of the tubular component. A ring is positioned around the tubular component facing the recess. The ring has a shape that compliments that of the recess. The assembly made up of tubular component and ring is positioned in an opening of a coil such that the ring is positioned facing the coil. The assembly is welded using magnetic pulses generated by the coil.

  • Patent number: 10186359
Abstract: A method for attaching a metal ring (4) in a bore (3) of a frame (2) made of a different metal, wherein: the ring (4) is set in the bore (3) by way of high-energy forming suitable for urging an outer surface of the ring against the bore (3) with a speed capable of driving out any impurity from an interface between the ring and the frame; the interface between the ring (4) and the frame (2) is heated to a temperature and for a length of time that are determined in accordance with the respective materials of the ring and the frame such as to obtain diffusion welding between the outer surface of the ring and the bore. A single-turn coil for magnetic forming carried out by the method is also described.

  • Patent number: 9931683
Abstract: A method of assembling a first part (1) with a second part (2) having at least one crimping lip (4), a crimping anvil (3) and a crimping groove (9) designed to accept an edge (10) that is to be crimped belonging to the first part, in which method the edge that is to be crimped is introduced into the crimping groove and magnetic crimping is performed by applying to the crimping lip a magnetic field that is designed to bend the crimping lip over and close the crimping groove onto the edge that is to be crimped, characterized in that the crimping anvil has at least one inclined portion.
