  • Publication number: 20200124803
Abstract: Aspects and techniques of the present disclosure relate to a telecommunications optical fiber management tray (100) that provides enhanced access to connectors and adapters. In one example, a fiber optic telecommunications tray (100) is disclosed which has movable components that can configure the tray between a storage position and an access position. In the storage position, one or more fiber optic connectors (154) and a fiber containment wall (106) extending from a base (104) of the tray (100) are positioned such that a port of a connector mounted (154) to the tray (100) has a longitudinal axis that passes through the fiber containment wall (106). In the access position, the one or more fiber optic connectors (154) and the fiber containment wall (106) are position such that the connector port longitudinal axis does not pass through the fiber containment wall (106).

  • Publication number: 20200110238
Abstract: A modular multi-positionable tray assembly (420) for mounting within a chassis (10) of a telecommunications panel (100) is disclosed. The multi-positionable tray assembly (420) may include support arm structure (423) having a first support arm (424) and a second support arm (480) that pivotally supports a tray (422) and that allows the tray assembly (420) to be installed and removed from the chassis (10). The tray (422) and the support arm structure (423) cooperatively define a cable routing pathway (208) that extends through a pivot axis (A1) defined by the tray and the support arm. To protect the cables (300) and to increase accessibility of cables (300) within the portion of the cable routing pathway (208) defined by the tray (422), a bend radius limiter (460) can be provided that is rotatably mounted to the tray (422). The tray (422) can also be provided with attachment features for allowing the tray (422) to accept various telecommunications components, such as splice trays and splitter trays.

  • Publication number: 20200041743
Abstract: A cabinet having a framework for mounting telecommunications equipment includes a framework and telecommunications equipment mounted to the framework. The equipment may include splitter modules. Spools are mounted within the cabinet to manage overlength slack in fiber optic cables within the cabinet. A patch panel is mounted within the cabinet and define a plurality of cable termination locations for receiving at least some of the fiber optic cables. The patch panel is mounted on a pivotable frame between a storage position and an access position. The plurality of spools are positioned intermediate the telecommunications equipment and the patch panel. A splice area is mounted within the cabinet and is accessible when the pivotable frame is in the access position. The splice area receives fiber optic cables from the patch panel for splicing to additional cables.
