  • Patent number: 9464996
Abstract: A processing device and method for a spectrometric measurement in terms of energy of a photon flux that may be received by a photosensitive element of a detector comprises the following successive steps: converting each photon received by the photosensitive element into an electrical signal, a characteristic of which is representative of the energy of the photon considered; filtering each electrical signal with a first low-pass filter whose cutoff frequency is adjusted as a function of the photon flux, the bigger the flux, the higher the cutoff frequency; determining the characteristic of each filtered electrical signal; generating an energy spectrum for the photon flux received as a function of the characteristic of the filtered electrical signals; and filtering the energy spectrum with a second low-pass filter whose cutoff frequency is adjusted as a function of the photon flux, the bigger the flux, the lower the cutoff frequency.

  • Patent number: 7728519
Abstract: The invention relates to the correction of the distortion of an image intensifier electron tube comprising an entry screen intended to receive what is called primary electromagnetic radiation and an exit screen emitting radiation dependent on the primary radiation, the entry screen including a photocathode that emits an electron beam in the tube toward the exit screen, the emission of the electron beam being dependent on the primary radiation. The entry screen furthermore includes a test pattern formed from a plurality of dots distributed over the entry screen, the test pattern comprising means for locally altering the electron beam without altering the primary radiation.

  • Patent number: 7330603
Abstract: The invention relates to electronic image capture by an image sensor divided into several zones. To compensate for the inevitable differences between processing pathways arising from the various zones, there is provided a digital correction table inserted into one of the processing pathways. This table stores a corrected level for each level of image signal, the corrected level compensating for the difference with the other processing pathway for this signal level. The content of the table is update dynamically on the basis of observation of the actual images viewed by the sensor. A convergent algorithm is described, making it possible to correct the whole table on the basis of the observation of two border points, then to redo corrections on the whole table on the basis of the analysis of other border points of the same image or of subsequent images.

  • Publication number: 20040008905
Abstract: The invention relates to electronic image capture by an image sensor (CPT) divided into several zones (ZD, ZG) in particular so as to allow real-time reading (30 images/second) of images with high resolution and with a wide dynamic range of luminances. To compensate for the inevitable differences between processing pathways arising from the various zones, there is provided a digital correction table (TC) inserted into one of the processing pathways. This table matches each level bi of image signal with a corrected level b′i compensating for the difference with the other processing pathway for this signal level. According to the invention, the content of the table is updated dynamically on the basis of observation of the actual images viewed by the sensor. The correction is based on the fact that the transitions in the image should be regular and that an abrupt transition at the border is a mark of insufficient correction.

  • Patent number: 5656808
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for the use of an X-ray image amplifier tube comprising a succession of electrodes, among them a photocathode. This X-ray image intensifier tube may have, alternately, an off state and an operating state. The method consists of the application, to the photocathode, of an operating voltage that is a substantially zero voltage when the X-ray image intensifier tube is in an operating state and a positive turning-off voltage greater than the operating voltage so that the X-ray image intensifier tube is in the off state. Application is notably to X-ray image intensifier tubes used in sets that work alternately.
