  • Publication number: 20180050537
Abstract: A printhead includes an address line, data lines, a fire pulse line, and a plurality of primitives, each primitive corresponding to a different data line and including a plurality of activation devices, each activation device corresponding to a different address of a set of addresses. A buffer receives data packets, each data packet including address data representative of an address of the set of addresses and print data for each primitive corresponding to the address. For each data packet, the buffer directs the address data to address logic and places the print data on the respective data line, and the address logic encodes the address represented by the address data onto the address line. For each primitive, the activation device corresponding to the address on the address bus activates a corresponding primitive function based on the corresponding print data when a fire pulse is present on the fire pulse line.

  • Patent number: 9886617
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for providing reliable biometric access control using an optical biometric sensor in a miniaturized form factor. Some implementations include multiple light sources that can illuminate skin or other tissue at multiple locations during a single measurement session. An imaging array can be arranged to form images of the light exiting the tissue only after undergoing diffuse reflectance in the tissue. Some implementations use the images to perform biometric functions. For example, the images can be used to identify an individual, verify identity of an individual, estimate demographic characteristics of an individual, etc. Such biometric functions can further be used to determine and affect access to secured assets.

  • Patent number: 9652713
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for developing parallel networks. Parallel network design may comprise a general purpose language (GPC) code portion and a network description (ND) portion. GPL tools may be utilized in designing the network. The GPL tools may be configured to produce network specification language (NSL) engine adapted to generate hardware optimized machine executable code corresponding to the network description. The developer may be enabled to describe a parameter of the network. The GPC portion may be automatically updated consistent with the network parameter value. The GPC byte code may be introspected by the NSL engine to provide the underlying source code that may be automatically reinterpreted to produce the hardware optimized machine code. The optimized machine code may be executed in parallel.
