Abstract: A method for remote monitoring of operating characteristics of a load cell is provided. The method includes receiving from a plurality of sensors, at a main unit, sensed data indicative of a plurality of operating characteristics of a load cell. The method continues by analyzing at a main unit the sensed data for statistical control and sending alerts to a remote computing device when sensed data of an operating characteristic is outside of a preset threshold. A system for carrying out the method is also provided. The system includes a main unit installed near a load cell, a first sub-unit coupled to a scale of the load cell in wired communication with the main unit, and at least one remote computing device in network communication with the main unit.

Abstract: A hybrid memory system. This system can include a processor coupled to a hybrid memory buffer (HMB) that is coupled to a plurality of DRAM and a plurality of Flash memory modules. The HMB module can include a Memory Storage Controller (MSC) module and a Near-Memory-Processing (NMP) module coupled by a SerDes (Serializer/Deserializer) interface. This system can utilize a hybrid (mixed-memory type) memory system architecture suitable for supporting low-latency DRAM devices and low-cost NAND flash devices within the same memory sub-system for an industry-standard computer system.

Abstract: A method of increasing capacity of an air-cooled power generator 30 includes retrofitting a water evaporative cooler 48 to the generator. The water evaporative cooler 48 includes a water absorbent media 50, a controllable water inlet 52,53 for controllably delivering water from a water supply to the water absorbent media, at least one sensor 54, and a controller 56 responsive to the at least one sensor. The retrofitting includes mounting the water evaporative cooler 48 so that the water absorbent media 50 is in fluid communication a flow of cooling air, connecting the controllable water inlet 52,53 to the water supply, mounting the at least one sensor 54 for sensing at least one parameter relating to the flow of cooling air, and connecting the controller 56 to the at least one sensor to thereby operate the controllable water inlet based upon the at least one sensor.

Abstract: A fastener for removably mounting a housing to a shelf includes a base having an upper surface and a lower surface adapted for connection to a bottom panel of the housing at an edge portion of the housing. The base includes a front edge and a portion extending from the front edge which is turned under the base and is disposed spaced apart from the base and adjacent to a lower surface of the base to form a spring clip. The clip engages an edge portion of the shelf between the lower surface of the base and the portion extending from the base front edge.
