The method comprises: (a) populating a window with n physiological values taken, in sequence, from a sequence of physiological values, wherein n is a positive integer; (b) determining whether the variability in the physiological values within the window is less than a predetermined threshold; (c) responsive to the variability in the physiological values within the window being less than a predetermined threshold, determining that the window comprises no outliers, and/or responsive to the variability in the physiological values within the window not being less than a predetermined threshold, determining that the window comprises at least one outlier.

Abstract: Techniques for distributed data processing application service networking in a cloud provider network are described. A first request to launch a virtual machine is received, the first request including a session network identifier to identify a network of a distributed data processing application cluster hosted by the provider network. The first virtual machine is launched. An internet protocol (IP) address of the first virtual machine is set, and the IP address of the first virtual machine is formed at least in part by combining an IP subnet assigned to the computer system with the session network identifier. A firewall controlling network traffic to and from the first virtual machine is configured to allow packets having a source or destination address that matches a portion of the IP address of the first virtual machine that includes the session network identifier.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide recirculation-based alternating blowdown sea chest. The sea chest has a cover assembly with a plurality of grates thereon. Each grate is connected with a pipe in fluid communication with a pump. The pump provides suction while a plurality of valves modulate the flow of water through the system. A recirculation pipe promotes the blowdown of fluids within the system and permits tandem function of water intake and expulsion resulting in maximum efficiency of the sea chest with continuous functionality while in use.

When a sector's capacitance changes at least a designated amount—such as when a projectile pierces the sector and reduces the sector's area—the controller determines that the sector has been hit. In other embodiments, the electronic target system includes a target including one or more vibration sensors configured to detect vibrations in the target. Upon detecting these vibrations, the vibration sensors send responsive signals to a controller. The controller analyzes these signals to determine whether a sector has been hit.
