  • Patent number: 11360130
Abstract: A system for measuring electrical network parameters may include a voltage sensing node of an electrical network with a first clock and a current sensing node of the electrical network with a second clock. At least one of the voltage sensing node and the current sensing node synchronizes the first clock with the second clock. The voltage sensing node samples a voltage signal from a voltage transducer and the current sensing node samples a plurality of current signals from respective current transducers. The voltage sensing node resamples the sampled voltage signal to determine corresponding resampled voltage signals, and the current sensing node resamples each of the sampled current signals to determine corresponding resampled current signals. The voltage sensing node communicates (1) corresponding re-sampled voltage signals and (2) a voltage time stamp based on the synchronized first clock associated with the sampled voltage signal to the current sensing node through a communication link.

  • Patent number: 9672052
Abstract: Among other disclosed subject matter, a system includes a secure execution domain configured to execute trusted processes. The system also includes a hardware virtualization component in the secure execution domain and configured to implement a virtual machine. The virtual machine is a hardware virtualization of a data processing apparatus and includes a shared virtual memory device and a guest software application coupled to the shared virtual memory device. The system also includes a trusted process in the secure execution domain, separate from the virtual machine and coupled to the shared virtual memory device. The trusted process is configured to communicate with the guest software application through the shared virtual memory device. Communication with the guest software application includes secure communication.

  • Patent number: 8073026
Abstract: A chirped pulse amplification laser system. The system generally comprises a laser source, a pulse modification apparatus including first and second pulse modification elements separated by a separation distance, a positioning element, a measurement device, and a feedback controller. The laser source is operable to generate a laser pulse and the pulse modification apparatus operable to modify at least a portion of the laser pulse. The positioning element is operable to reposition at least a portion of the pulse modification apparatus to vary the separation distance. The measurement device is operable to measure the carrier envelope phase of the generated laser pulse and the feedback controller is operable to control the positioning element based on the measured carrier envelope phase to vary the separation distance of the pulse modification elements and control the carrier envelope phase of laser pulses generated by the laser source.

  • Publication number: 20080063162
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for providing prepaid telecommunication services. More particularly, prepaid telephone calls can be made by users without entering any access code, if such calls are made from telephone numbers previously registered in the telecommunication system in connection with valid access codes. Prepaid telephone calls can also be made From non-registered telephone numbers after providing the telecommunication system with a valid access code.

  • Publication number: 20070064891
Abstract: A point-of-sale electronic distribution system for distributing an access code (e.g., a personal identification number (PIN)) is provided. The system allows retailers/distributors to purchase access codes for use with pre-paid products using conventional telephones and without requiring the use of a dedicated terminal or personal computer at the point-of-sale. A telephone call relating to a request for an access code is received at a central server. An access code is obtained from a database of access codes and transmitted to the caller by telephone, facsimile, or e-mail. Reports relating to a pre-paid calling card account can be requested during the telephone call.

  • Publication number: 20050175030
Abstract: A system, method and computer-readable media are disclosed for format negotiation between a graph of connected nodes. A source node for multi-media content publishes a set of format constraints associated with the multi-media data and capabilities. A destination node for presenting the multi-media data publishes its set of format constraints associated with its capabilities. At least one filter node within the graph transmits or modifies multimedia data between the source and destination nodes. The format constraints are represented by logical expressions in disjunctive normal form and describe required values or acceptable ranges of values for one or more parameters. The method aspect of the invention comprises receiving source node format data, destination node format data and at least one filter node format data. As nodes are connected to the graph of nodes, the new node's format data is propagated to the directly and indirectly connected nodes in the graph.
