  • Publication number: 20250178696
Abstract: A break-away release link that is used as an attachment to at sea fixed gear commercial fishing. The break-away release link is designed to break away at a designated tensile strength when undersea creatures become entangled with this type of commercial fixed fishing gear. The break-away release link attachment can be used in any commercial fishing industry such as lobster, crab, finfish, or other types whereas fixed gear, such as lobster traps or gillnets that are placed upon the ocean floor and are attached by a buoy rope to a surface buoy for retrieval at some later time by the fisherperson. The break-away release link is designed to break away at a tensile strength of between 600 and 3,000 pounds so that sea going creatures who becomes entangled with the buoy rope can easily part the rope and escape serious injury and or death when they are endangered.

  • Publication number: 20250093514
Abstract: Compact and robust machine vision systems are provided herein. A machine vision system includes an optoelectronic system configured to emit measurement beams towards objects and a motion module configured to move the objects and/or components of the optoelectronic system. The machine vision system uses the relative motions to reduce degrees of freedom required to sample the objects to produce 3D images. The optoelectronic system includes a light source configured to emit a beam and sweep its frequency. The optoelectronic system includes primary interferometers configured to measure distances to points of an object and auxiliary interferometers configured with reference delays. The optoelectronic system includes electronic circuitry configured to interpret outputs of the interferometers into distance measurements by simpler computations in the time domain.

  • Publication number: 20230392920
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are provided for estimating a location on an object in a three-dimensional scene. Multiple radiation patterns are produced by spatially modulating each of multiple first radiations with a distinct combination of one or more modulating structures, each first radiation having at least one of a distinct radiation path, a distinct source, a distinct source spectrum, or a distinct source polarization with respect to the other first radiations. The location on the object is illuminated with a portion of each of two or more of the radiation patterns, the location producing multiple object radiations, each object radiation produced in response to one of the multiple radiation patterns. Multiple measured values are produced by detecting the object radiations from the location on the object due to each pattern separately using one or more detector elements. The location on the object is estimated based on the multiple measured values.

  • Patent number: 11794313
Abstract: A multi-purpose tool includes a first handle, a second handle, and a laminated plier jaw assembly coupled to the first handle and the second handle. The laminated plier jaw assembly includes a first outer layer, a second outer layer, an inner layer, and a pin. The first outer layer defines a first aperture. The second outer layer defines a second aperture. The inner layer is positioned between and is coupled to the first outer layer and the second outer layer. The inner layer defines a slot having a narrow portion positioned between a first wide portion and a second wide portion. The pin extends at least partially through the first aperture, the second aperture, and the slot. The first outer layer, the second outer layer, and the inner layer cooperate to define a pair of jaws that rotate relative to one another about an axis of rotation.

  • Patent number: 11490187
Abstract: Wireless headphones with integral camera including a headphones assembly and a pivot arm assembly are disclosed. These assemblies in conjunction with one another provide a simple solution for video or teleconferencing. The headphones assembly includes speakers within a speaker housing surrounded by ear pads. The speakers are placed on either end of an adjustable headband to fit various user head sizes. The exterior of the speaker housing includes audio control buttons and a pivot arm mounted thereon. The pivot arm includes a forward-facing camera at an exterior distal end with respect to the speaker housing. The pivot arm also includes a self-facing camera with a microphone on the interior of said distal end. The included cameras can be toggled via a toggle button mounted to the pivot arm as well. The pivot arm is adjustable via a telescopic portion to modify camera angles.

  • Patent number: 11395725
Abstract: The present invention provides a package comprising an aortoiliac artery graft and a record of a measured pressurized diameter of the aortoiliac artery graft, which measurement has been determined ex vivo under a pressure. A method of processing an aortoiliac artery graft is also provided. The processing method comprises subjecting an aortoiliac artery to a pressure ex vivo, and determining a measured pressurized diameter of the aortoiliac artery under the pressure. A method of treating abdominal aortic aneurysm, infected aortoiliac endograft or a traumatically damaged abdominal aorta or an iliac artery in a patient is further provided. The treatment method comprises anastomosing a processed aortoiliac artery graft with an aorta of the patient on the proximal end and the iliac or femoral arteries on the distal end, wherein a measured pressurized diameter of the processed aortoiliac artery graft has been determined ex vivo under a pressure.
