  • Patent number: 11224078
Abstract: A network device, in a first wireless network operated by a first network operator, receives a first location of a user equipment device (UE) and a second location of a Multi-Access Edge Computing data center (MEC) operated by a second network operator. The network devices performs at least one of: 1) determining a closest gateway or user plane function (UPF) to the MEC data center within the first wireless network; or 2) deploying a Virtual Network Function (VNF) in a particular hosting center that is close to the MEC. The network device sets up a connection between at least one of the determined closest gateway or UPF and the MEC, or the deployed VNF and the MEC, to enable the UE to access the MEC via the first wireless network.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 27, 2020
Date of Patent: January 11, 2022
Assignee: Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc.
Inventors: Maria E. Palamara, Kyriaki Konstantinou, Jyoti Bali Sharma, Eric Nagy

  • Patent number: 8598059
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for sulfurizing a hydrocarbon treatment catalyst, comprising: at least a first step of depositing, on the surface of the catalyst, one or more sulfurization auxiliaries of formula (I): and at least a second step, carried out after the first step, of placing the catalyst in contact with a sulfur-containing gaseous mixture containing hydrogen and a sulfur compound. This process does not comprise the deposit of any carbon sources other than the auxiliary of formula (I).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 10, 2010
Date of Patent: December 3, 2013
    Assignee: Eurecat S.A.
Inventors: Pierre Dufresne, Eric Nagy, Pauline Galliou
  • Patent number: 8377839
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the regeneration of a catalyst comprising at least one metal from Group VIII and at least one metal from Group VIB which are deposited on a refractory oxide support, comprising: at least one first step of heat treatment of the catalyst in the presence of oxygen and at a temperature ranging from 350° C. to 550° C.
    Type: Grant
