  • Publication number: 20230298164
Abstract: “A determination method of at least one parameter indicative of the functionality degree or level of a lung according to the ventilation rate of its cells is provided, on the basis of a volumetric digital medical image of the lung, composed of a voxel cloud. The method includes determining quantitatively and/or delineating a first volume A of the cloud in which spatial density of voxels is between -950 HU and -450 HU; and determining quantitatively and/or delineating a second volume B of the cloud in which spatial density of voxels is between -750 HU and -450 HU. A third volume C is determined quantitatively and/delineated, in addition or alternatively to volume B, defined as the differential volume (volume A - volume B); and the ratio (volume B / volume A) is computed and/or the ratio (volume C / volume A) is computed.

  • Patent number: 10893715
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a hood adjusting mechanism for improving the fit and adjustability of a hood over a wearer's head when worn by the wearer and may include a hood portion with a generally circumferential opening, a first and second aperture, and a first and second channel. In addition, the hood adjusting mechanism may further include a first and second continuous cord that extend through the first and second channels, exit at the first and second apertures, and are releasably secured by a tightening mechanism. The hood adjusting mechanism may be included as part of an apparel item with a body portion, such as a jacket or a coat.

  • Publication number: 20170156419
Abstract: A dual-jacket assembly comprising an inner jacket coupled to an outer jacket by a cable system is provided herein. The outer jacket is configured at least to be worn over the inner jacket and to be stowed in a pocket of the inner jacket when not in use. The cable system comprises a plurality of cables, each coupled to the inner jacket at one end and coupled to the outer jacket at the other end. The plurality of cables is configured to position the outer jacket for easier donning and to be used by a wearer to stow the outer jacket in the pocket of the inner jacket when not in use.

  • Publication number: 20170099899
Abstract: The technology described herein relates to vented and insulating garments having an interior garment assembly comprising an interior panel and a middle panel attached at one or more seams defining chambers for retaining thermally-insulating fill material. The seams have a first plurality of openings extending through the interior and middle panels. An exterior garment assembly has a second plurality of openings positioned on the exterior garment assembly such that the second plurality of openings are offset from the first plurality of openings when the exterior garment assembly is worn with the interior garment assembly. The offsetting of the openings may achieve moisture vapor or air transfer from the inside the garment to the outside environment. The exterior garment assembly and the interior garment assembly may be discrete garment pieces or may be attached at one or more locations.
