  • Patent number: 11840950
Abstract: A purification device includes a tubular shell having an inner surface and an electric heating member housed in the tubular shell. The heating member comprises a heating element made of an electrically conductive material which is permeable to exhaust gases. The device also includes an attachment of the heating element directly on the inner surface.

  • Patent number: 10808587
Abstract: An exhaust gas purification device for a vehicle includes a tubular enclosure having a central axis, a purification member for exhaust gases housed in the tubular enclosure, an electric heating member housed in the tubular enclosure, and a power source electrically powering the electric heating member. The electric heating member comprises a heating plate made from an electrically conductive material extending in a plane substantially perpendicular to the central axis. The heating plate has a solid center and at least two branches, each branch extending in a spiral from the solid center to a free end located near the tubular enclosure. The heating plate is permeable to the exhaust gases and comprises a network of passages for the exhaust gas generating a turbulent flow of the exhaust gases through the heating plate.

  • Patent number: 9266075
Abstract: A vehicle exhaust system includes a mixer and a doser that sprays a reducing agent into the mixer to be thoroughly mixed with engine exhaust gases prior to introduction of the mixture into a downstream exhaust component. The doser is mounted in a tangential orientation relative to a point defined at an intersection of a doser axis with a theoretical cylinder that surrounds a center axis of the mixer and is defined by a variable radius.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 28, 2012
Date of Patent: February 23, 2016
Assignee: Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies USA, LLC
