    Abstract: A tire cleaning mechanism for a wheelchair comprises a fixation portion, a tire cleaner assembly, and an activation assembly. The fixation portion is operable to fixate the tire cleaner assembly to a wheelchair frame. The tire cleaner assembly is operable to remove debris from a wheelchair tire and the activation assembly is operable to move the tire cleaner assembly between an engaged configuration whereby a portion of the tire cleaner assembly engages a wheelchair tire and a disengaged configuration whereby the tire cleaner assembly is substantially removed from the wheelchair tire. A first link is coupled between at least one of a fixation portion and the tire cleaner assembly, or between the activation assembly and the tire cleaner assembly.
