Abstract: Systems, apparatus, methods and computer-readable storage media facilitating trusted pairing between an implantable medical device (IMD) and an external device are provided. In one embodiment, an IMD includes a housing configured to be implanted within a patient, a memory and circuitry within the housing and a processor that executes executable components stored in the memory.

Abstract: Herein is described a method devised to cryopreserve mosquito eggs, viable upon subsequent thawing. The method reproducibly yields >25% hatched first instar larvae of Anopheles-species mosquitoes from cryopreserved eggs. The majority of hatched larvae continue to develop normally (87% pupation), through to adults (98%, 50% of which are female) which subsequently blood feed and produce viable second generation embryos that also develop normally. Adult mosquitoes obtained from cryopreserved embryos are able to be infected with Plasmodium falciparum gametocytes and produce salivary gland sporozoites in similar numbers to control mosquitoes.

Abstract: Disclosed are container and cap assemblies for cryogenic storage of materials at temperatures below negative 150° C. The container and cap assemblies disclosed maintain container closure integrity and fluid-tightness at ambient and cryogenic temperatures, optionally to preserve biologically active substances stored therein.

Abstract: A cryovial storage system is provided for use in LNVP storage and transportation freezers. The system comprises a hexagonal box that can be used modularly in both vertical and horizontal dimensions to more efficiently fill the functional space within cryogenic freezers and dry shippers. Also provided is a canister and insert system configured to receive a stack of hexagonal boxes (or multiple stacks of hexagonal boxes) and a method for accessing only the topmost box in a stack while retaining the other boxes in the stack below and a system that provides ease of transferability of boxes between storage freezers and dry shippers.
