Abstract: Embodiments herein describe bypassing a step that would otherwise prompt a user to manually input credentials to access a traditional environment after establishing connection to a POSIX environment. In some embodiments, the credentials used to login to the POSIX compliant environment can be automatically inputted into a field that enables access to a traditional environment. In other embodiments, the use of archived credentials can be used once a connection to a POSIX compliant environment is established, providing access to a traditional environment. Additionally, a level of trust between the POSIX compliant environment and the traditional environment can be established enabling access to the traditional environment.

Abstract: A computing system employs one or more security managers that, in response to an active session user revocation request, such as from a security administrator, to revoke a user during an active session, update an active session access revocation list that includes data representing the user. The security manager revokes active user access to protected system resources for the user based on the updated active session access revocation list, during the active session. The active session user revocation request also causes an update of a user profile in a security manager database that allows the security manager to deny authentication of the user for new sessions. The updated active session access revocation list serves as a type of centralized list with all users that have been fully revoked on the computing system. Related methods and computer products are also described.

This table is used to submit at least one batch job using the output table. Upon receiving a request from a second user for the medical data in a specified destination file format, the system retrieves and converts the object containing the medical data into the specified destination file format, and sends the destination file to the second user. The source and destination file formats may be the same or different. In one embodiment, users may access and communicate with the HIE system via the Internet.

In one example, an authentication request is received that originated from an online user in connection with an application having a first LOA. The authentication request includes an identity assertion and a digital identity is searched to identify a GUID associated with the digital identity matching the identity assertion. One or more credentials that are bound to the GUID at the first LOA or a higher LOA are provided. A selection of at least one credential is received. Information of the selected credential that includes a credential verification service capable of verifying the selected credential is received. Verification of the selected credential of the online user based on the GUID is requested. A verification response is received. The online user is authenticated at the first LOA when the verification response indicates that the selected credential is successfully verified.
