  • Patent number: 11921966
Abstract: Systems and methods related to intelligent typing and responses using eye-gaze technology are disclosed herein. In some example aspects, a dwell-free typing system is provided to a user typing with eye-gaze. A prediction processor may intelligently determine the desired word or action of the user. In some aspects, the prediction processor may contain elements of a natural language processor. In other aspects, the systems and methods may allow quicker response times from applications due to application of intelligent response algorithms. For example, a user may fixate on a certain button within a web-browser, and the prediction processor may present a response to the user by selecting the button in the web-browser, thereby initiating an action. In other example aspects, each gaze location may be associated with a UI element. The gaze data and associated UI elements may be processed for intelligent predictions and suggestions.

  • Publication number: 20230240530
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for remote monitoring. In some example implementations, there is provided a method. The method may include receiving, at a remote monitor, a notification message representative of an event detected, by a server, from analyte sensor data obtained from a receiver monitoring an analyte state of a host; presenting, at the remote monitor, the notification message to activate the remote monitor, wherein the remote monitor is configured by the server to receive the notification message to augment the receiver monitoring of the analyte state of the host; accessing, by the remote monitor, the server, in response to the presenting of the notification message; and receiving, in response to the accessing, information including at least the analyte sensor data. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230009265
Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques related to managing dose recommendations in medicine administering systems. The techniques may involve obtaining a recommendation for a dose of medicine to be delivered to a patient and determining that the recommendation is outdated based on detecting one or more intervening events occurring after generation of the recommendation but before any delivery of medicine in accordance with the recommendation. The techniques may further involve implementing one or more safety features for avoiding delivery of the dose of medicine to the patient.

  • Patent number: 5647099
Abstract: A garment pin for supporting a pair of eyeglasses at a predetermined location of an outer garment of a user includes a holding member capable of being detachably secured to the outer garment, and a support member operative for supporting the eyeglasses on the holding member in a suspended position. The support member is loop-shaped and extends along a course including a pair of substantially straight end sections diverging from one another in the upward direction, and an intermediate section integrally merging with the diverging end sections and including a substantially centrally situated arcuate connecting section of a radius of curvature large enough for the eyeglasses, which extend through and embrace the loop-shaped support member in its suspended position, to be able to slide along the connecting section until reaching a respective one of a pair of transition sections of the support member that flank the connecting section and at which the radius of curvature changes to an appreciable extent.

  • Patent number: 4436967
Abstract: A telephone lock for telephones of the type having apertured caps, each forming an annular external groove between the respective cap and the handset, includes a locking cup mountable over either or both of the caps, and a locking arrangement which includes a stationary locking element extending into the groove, and a movable locking element mounted on the locking cup for displacement between a retracted position and a locked position in which the movable locking element is located exteriorly of the groove and extends into the groove, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4230914
Abstract: A compact telephone intruder alarm system is operative for indicating to a current on-line user of a primary extension telephone which is already interconnected with the telephone line of the subsequent interconnection and disconnection of another auxiliary extension telephone with the same telephone line. Electrical OFF- and ON-hook signals are respectively generated each time an extension telephone is interconnected or disconnected with the telephone line, and each such hook signal is successively detected and electrically amplified before being conducted to a light-emitting diode. The first detected OFF-hook signal indicates the start of the interconnection of the auxiliary extension telephone, and the second detected ON-hook signal indicates the duration and the end of the intruder presence on the telephone line. All electrical components are of miniature size and are mounted within the handset to simplify and to make installation less discernible.

  • Patent number: 4136266
Abstract: A telephone intruder alert system is operative for indicating to a current on-line user of a primary extension telephone which is already interconnected with the telephone line of the subsequent interconnection and disconnection of another auxiliary extension telephone with the same telephone line. Electrical click signals of limited time duration are generated each time an extension telephone is interconnected or disconnected with the telephone line, and each click signal is successively detected, filtered and electrically amplified before being conducted to a relay alarm circuit. The first detected click signal indicates the start of the interconnection of the auxiliary extension telephone, and the second detected click signal indicates the end of this interconnection. A timing arrangement energizes and deenergizes the alarm circuit prior to the end of the duration of the first and the second click signals, respectively. A switch selectively disables the intruder alert system.
