Publication number: 20230376293Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates deploying an application. Some techniques described herein occur during compile time while executable code is being generated from source code. In one example, the executable code causes different operations in an application to be assigned to different compute systems such that particular operations are required to be executed on particular compute systems. The executable code may further include bridges that assist data being transmitted between different compute systems, the bridges generated during compile time. In another example, the executable code causes data to be sent to a recording service during execution of an application. The recording service, though not included in the source code before compile time, is configured to receive copies of data transmitted on a compute system including the recording service. The recording service may also be configured to receive metadata corresponding to operations executed on the compute system.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2023Publication date: November 23, 2023Inventors: Ashok AYYAMANI, Mohammad J. Patent number: 10541885Abstract: Systems and methods for negotiating control of a shared audio or visual resource are disclosed. A request for control of a shared audio or visual resource is received at an arbiter. The arbiter maintains existing state information for ownership of the shared audio or visual resource and ownership transition conditions of the shared audio or visual resource. The request is received from one of a process executing on an embedded system and a process executing on a mobile computing device. New state information regarding ownership of the shared audio or visual resource is determined based at least in part on the request for control and the ownership transition conditions. The new state information indicates which of the processes controls output of the shared audio or visual resource.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2017Date of Patent: January 21, 2020Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Andrew E. Patent number: 8836064Abstract: Light sensors including dielectric optical coatings to shape their spectral responses, and methods for fabricating such light sensors in a manner that accelerates lift-off processes and increases process margins, are described herein. In certain embodiments, a short duration soft bake is performed. Alternatively, or additionally, temperature cycling is performed. Alternatively, or additionally, photolithography is performed using a photomask that includes one or more dummy corners, dummy islands and/or dummy rings. Each of the aforementioned embodiments form and/or increase a number of micro-cracks in the dielectric optical coating not covering the photodetector sensor region, thereby enabling an accelerated lift-off process and an increased process margin. Alternatively, or additionally, a portion of the photomask can include chamfered corners so that the dielectric optical coating includes chamfered corners, which improves the thermal reliability of the dielectric optical coating.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 2012Date of Patent: September 16, 2014Assignee: Intersil Americas LLCInventors: Eric S.
