Abstract: A method of controlling the particle size and particle size distribution of an aqueous emulsion having a non-aqueous disperse phase during the production thereof, in which the production of the emulsion is carried out in the presence of a dispersion of a templating agent, such as a polymer latex, and surfactantParticle size and particle size distribution of the dispersion is controlled by selecting the templating agent and surfactant such as to cause deposition of the disperse phase on particles of the dispersed templating agent, such that the particle size distribution of the templating agent provides a template for the particle size distribution of the final emulsion.

Abstract: An agricultural composition, for example, a herbicidal, insecticidal or fungicidal composition, comprising at least a first active pesticidal component, and at least one other active component, the other active component being physico-chemically, chemically, or biologically incompatible with the first pesticidal component. The composition is in the form of a latex dispersion, containing at least one emulsifying surfactant and having a continuous aqueous phase, and at least a first dispersed phase. The first dispersed phase contains particles derived from a latex, and the first pesticidal component is present in the composition substantially wholly within the first dispersed phase. The said other active ingredient is present within the continuous phase, or within a second dispersed phase.

Abstract: A stabilized water dilutable pesticidal composition prepared by forming a solution of a pesticidal substance in a water-immiscible solvent, and combining the solution with an emulsifier and a polymer latex to form a dispersion in water of particles comprising the pesticidal substance wherein the pesticidal substance and the water-immiscible solvent together comprise at least 10 percent by weight of the composition.
