  • Publication number: 20140278046
Abstract: A communication system for first responders includes a plurality of mobile communication devices (MCDs) in communication with a global positioning system (GPS) and a cloud database via a wireless link. Software resident in the MCDs provides an application in which first responders can view and input data showing types and locations of emergency incidents, the units assigned, assigned radio channels, the incident status, graphical location, the location of each unit and other data. A sub-program resident on the MCDs permits users to locate and tag fire hydrants and input their locations and water delivery data into the cloud database.

  • Publication number: 20130246960
Abstract: A communication system for emergency first responders provides a unique software application (“app”) used on a handheld tablet (for example, an iPad®) and web-based platform to aid with dispatch, communications, scene management, documentation, records, and billing of 9-1-1 emergency medical calls. A “thin” web-based client is viewable through the Internet, including wirelessly from within emergency vehicles, and communicates with a main system that is designed around a core-layered architecture with at least one system database and a web-based interface. The system facilitates report entry and delivery to hospitals and end-user administration, including the ability to create new fields for the e-PCR, notifications about relevant data conditions, continuous reporting capabilities, and en route updates.

  • Publication number: 20030074311
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method for allowing an employee (100) to self-administer automatic payroll deductions from his gross pay (120) through a money management system (130). Preferably, the employee (130) self-registers in the money management system via the web. Then the employee (100) may submit at least one transaction request to facilitate a financial obligation to at least one vendor (104). The system (130) then arranges for payment of the financial obligation and directs the payroll system (116) to withdraw funds from the employee's gross pay (120) (using at least one automatic payroll deduction) and to transfer the withdrawn funds to the at least one vendor (104). In one preferred embodiment, the system (130) provides access to a lender-vendor (104a) to arrange financing for the financial obligation and to a credit-risk reducing feature (104b) such as insurance.

  • Publication number: 20010056399
Abstract: A Virtual Reseller Credit Program implemented, at least in part, over a electronic communication media that includes an employed customer seeking to finance the purchase of a product, an employer, a lender, and a credit-risk reducer that may be credit insurance or a recourse reserve fund. The lender's decision to fund the employed customer may be based, at least in part, on the employed customer's employment (and the employer's agreement to use automatic payroll deductions) and/or the presence of the credit-risk reducer. In one preferred embodiment of the invention, a virtual reseller is used to order and deliver, sometimes using third parties, the product on behalf of the employed customer. The virtual reseller may also monitor repayment of the credit and automatically detect late payments.
