  • Publication number: 20060040601
Abstract: A drum grinding wheel includes an elongated drum configured for coaxial engagement with a spindle of a grinding machine. An exterior surface of the drum extends parallel to a central axis, and a plurality of removable cutters are removably fastened to the exterior surface. Each of the cutters has a plurality of ribs disposed in spaced relation thereon, and abrasive grain is disposed on a grinding face of each of the ribs, such as by use of a metallic braze.

  • Publication number: 20040238462
Abstract: The present invention relates to a disc storage device with a horizontal base platform, which supports at least one platform support post rigidly attached to the base platform. The device also has rotatable disc-holding platforms with tubular spacers rotatably mounted on each post in a stacked spaced array. The stacked rotatable disc platforms rotate into a stacked storage array and pivot out of the array for easy access to and return of the discs. Each disc fits securely over a center post on the platform with the post friction fit into the center hole of the disc. More than one disc may be placed on each disc holding platform. The tubular spacers located between the disc platforms space apart the disc platforms to prevent the discs from contacting each other and contacting other disc holding platforms. The disc storage device may hold discs of different sizes.

  • Patent number: 5855314
Abstract: An abrasive grit for a metal bonded Single Layer abrasive tool includes abrasive grains coated with a first active component. The active component is mechanically-bound to the surface of the superabrasive grains. Preferably the abrasive is a superabrasive, especially diamond, and the first active component is titanium, either in the form of elemental Ti or TiH.sub.2. The novel grit is made by mixing the first active powder component in a liquid binder to form an adhesive paste; mixing the paste with the abrasive grains to wet the grains, and drying the mixture to adhere active component to the grains. The coated abrasive can be brazed onto a core to form a Single Layer tool, especially with a brazing composition that includes a bronze alloy and small concentrations of a second active component. During brazing the novel abrasive grains provide excellent surface contact with the brazing composition and the braze strongly bind the grains to the tool core.

  • Patent number: 5480147
Abstract: An arcade basketball game which has a transparent enclosure (20) with basketball hoops (40) and a miniature basketball (28) inside. A pair of inclined playing surfaces (30) join together in a peak with transparent vertical barrier (34) on top, allowing the ball to roll to the lowest point where a striker bar (36) impedes its travel. An open space between the bar and the playing surface allow a hand held striker (52) to hit the ball upward at an angle toward the opposite players hoop in an attempt to score a goal. A shot blocker (70) and a pair of tip in hands (78) that are electrically controlled by a joystick (76) and hand switches (86) move in order to help or hinder the flight path of the ball. A game time display (60) indicates elapsed time and a pair of scoreboards (68) denote the scores of each player.
