  • Publication number: 20230155500
Abstract: Examples of the disclosure relate to example devices and methods for delivering electrical power. An example electrical power delivery device includes a boost converter circuitry configured to convert a voltage received at an input to a higher voltage at an output. The electrical power delivery device also includes a driver to control the boost converter circuitry by providing a switching signal to the boost converter circuitry at a specified duty cycle and switching frequency. The output voltage of the boost converter circuitry is controlled by adjusting the duty cycle. The electrical power delivery device also includes a current sensor to detect a current at the output of the boost converter circuitry, and a frequency controller to adjust the switching frequency provided by the driver based on the current detected by the current sensor.

  • Publication number: 20220001869
Abstract: A street sign authentication arrangement for a motor vehicle includes an RFID tag reader for reading information encrypted on a street sign encountered by the motor vehicle. An electronic processor is communicatively coupled to the RFID tag reader, and verifies, based on the information read from the street sign, that the information was encrypted by an authorized entity. The processor controls movement of the motor vehicle based on the information read from the street sign if the processor is able to verify that the information was encrypted by the authorized entity. The processor refrains from controlling movement of the motor vehicle based on the information read from the street sign if the processor is not able to verify that the information was encrypted by the authorized entity.

  • Publication number: 20190179598
Abstract: An audio system in a motor vehicle includes a loudspeaker, a first tuner, a second tuner and an electronic processor. The first tuner tunes to a first frequency such that content broadcasted on the first frequency is played on the loudspeaker. The second tuner tunes to a second frequency while the first tuner tunes to the first frequency and the content broadcasted on the first frequency is played on the loudspeaker. The electronic processor ascertains a user's preferences for content based upon inputs received from the user before the first tuner tunes to the first frequency. The electronic processor determines, based on the user's ascertained preferences, that the user prefers content being broadcast on the second frequency to the content being broadcast on the first frequency. In response to the determining, the electronic processor begins playing the content being broadcast on the second frequency on the loudspeaker.

  • Publication number: 20180335135
Abstract: A motor vehicle includes an electronic processor communicatively coupled to an accelerator pedal, a transmission system, and vehicle sensors. The electronic processor detects a driver of the motor vehicle ceasing to depress the accelerator pedal. Dependent upon signals the electronic processor receives from the vehicle sensors, the processor inhibits the transmission system from changing gears in response to the driver ceasing to depress the accelerator pedal.
