Abstract: Disclosed herein are aqueous based copolymer emulsion compositions based on emulsion polymerization of monomer compositions including an amine-derivatized alpha-methyl styrene (ADAMS) monomer according to structure (I): with k, R, R1, and R2 defined herein. The aqueous based copolymer emulsion compositions include (i) from 1 to 60 wt. % of the one or more copolymers, (ii) from 0.05 to 5.0 wt. % of one or more one or more surfactants selected from the group consisting of anionic surfactants, cationic surfactants, nonionic surfactants, amphoteric surfactants, and combinations thereof; and (iii) the remainder of the composition comprising water. Further disclosed herein are methods of making and methods for using such aqueous based copolymer emulsion compositions.

Abstract: Provided is an aqueous based styrene-diene polymer emulsion composition including: i) from 2 to 50 wt. % of one or more polymers including linear polymers characterized by the formula: star polymers characterized by the formula: or combinations thereof; wherein D?, PA, D?, n and X are defined herein; ii) from 0.05 to 5.0 wt. % of one or more surfactants; and iii) the remainder of the composition comprising water. Also provided are an electrode slurry composition for a secondary metal ion battery composition, a secondary metal ion battery anode, a method of improving the life of a secondary metal ion battery, a method of making an aqueous based styrene-diene polymer emulsion composition, and a method of making an electrode slurry composition for a secondary metal ion battery.

The headgear includes a first ear piece and a second earpiece connected to the first earpiece by at least two connections. Each of the first and second earpieces comprises a generally planar inner layer constructed from a compressible material. The inner layer has a generally central inner opening extending therethough. A generally convex outer layer is fixedly attached to the inner layer. The outer layer is constructed from a rigid material and includes a plurality of outer openings aligned with the inner opening. A sound speaker is located between the inner layer and the outer layer such that the speaker is aligned with the inner opening.

Abstract: An improved microcalorimeter-type energy dispersive x-ray spectrometer provides sufficient energy resolution and throughput for practical high spatial resolution x-ray mapping of a sample at low electron beam energies. When used with a dual beam system that provides the capability to etch a layer from the sample, the system can be used for three-dimensional x-ray mapping. A preferred system uses an x-ray optic having a wide-angle opening to increase the fraction of x-rays leaving the sample that impinge on the detector and multiple detectors to avoid pulse pile up.
