  • Patent number: 11132913
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for acquiring physical-world data indicative of interactions of a subject with an avatar for evaluation. An interactive avatar is provided for interaction with the subject. Speech from the subject to the avatar is captured, and automatic speech recognition is performed to determine content of the subject speech. Motion data from the subject interacting with the avatar is captured. A next action of the interactive avatar is determined based on the content of the subject speech or the motion data. The next action of the avatar is implemented, and a score for the subject is determined based on the content of the subject speech and the motion data.

  • Patent number: 4996994
Abstract: The process device for the photogrammetrical measurement of the human head, especially of the middle region of the face with the eye sockets, the nose, the check bones and the brows, is comprised of a projector for projecting a pattern image onto the face and two cameras which can simultaneously take two pictures from two different directions of the face and head with the pattern image projected on it. The two cameras and the projector are supported by an apparatus carrier, which can be moved in a vertical direction relative to a base permanently connected to the device and in at least one horizontal direction. This minimum of one direction coincides with the optical axes of the cameras. The device will facilitate bringing both the projector and the cameras on the one hand and the human head on the other into the required relative position to one another as necessary to take the pictures.

  • Patent number: 4762407
Abstract: The process in accordance with the present invention is especially well-suited for the preparation of spectacles with a correction effect which are adapted both optically and mechanically, whereby the mechanical adaptation is objectified to at least a considerable degree and the mechanical adaptation depends to a lesser extent or not at all on subjective evaluations of the fits of the spectacles on the part of the fitter or the spectacle wearer. For each nose piece of the spectacles the location of at least one nose point on or near the contact surface at which the bridge reposing surface touches the nose, is measured in space relative to two reference points, for example, the eye centers. From this nose point measurement the location of the pad nose piece reposing surface which the latter is to occupy in space on the completed spectacles is determined, which occurs, for example, under the assumption of pressureless contact between the contact surface and the reposing surface.
