  • Publication number: 20240389985
Abstract: A medical device having a handle and an elongate member extending from the handle is provided. The elongate member defines an elongate member lumen where a biopsy needle extends through the elongate member lumen. The medical device has an imaging device extending through a biopsy needle lumen of the biopsy needle. The imaging device extends between a proximal end of the biopsy needle and a distal end of the biopsy needle. The medical device has an elongate member opening at a distal end of the elongate member and a biopsy needle deployment feature proximate to the elongate member opening. The biopsy needle deployment feature moves between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the biopsy needle extends past the elongate member opening and in the second configuration the biopsy needle extends through the elongate member opening.

  • Publication number: 20220096108
Abstract: A lithotripsy system can include a lithotripsy device and controller circuitry. The device for acoustic calculi fracture can include an acoustic treatment probe for providing acoustic energy along the probe to treat one or more calculi and an evacuation pathway extending at least partially via the prob, for removing at least a portion of the one or more calculi via the evacuation pathway. The controller circuitry, coupled to the lithotripsy device, can be configured to receive an indication of clogging of the evacuation pathway and at least one of initiate or adjust a anti-clogging mode for changing at least one characteristic of evacuation via the evacuation pathway in response to the received indication of clogging.

  • Publication number: 20220047287
Abstract: A device for acoustic calculi fracture can include an acoustically-transmissive elongated probe body extending between a distal portion and a proximal portion and an acoustically-transmissive probe tip that can be selectively user-interchangeable with the probe body. The probe body can have a lumen longitudinally therethrough. A method of fracturing calculi can include interchanging a probe tip with a probe body by a user without requiring an additional tool and transmitting acoustic energy via the probe body and the probe tip to a calculus to at least partially fracture the calculus.
