  • Patent number: 7846163
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a device destined to be coupled to at least one support, and in particular a surgical implant destined to be coupled to a bone. The invention relates generally to a device (1) including a fixing element (3) including a head (3A) and a pin (3B) destined to be anchored in a support. The device further includes an assembly part (4) including a through hole (5), and a ring (6) housed in a manner that can be oriented within the through hole (5). The ring (6) has a passage (6A) shaped so as to allow passage of the pin (3B) and to stop the head (3A). The ring (6) is expandable according to its axial direction between a configuration wherein the ring (6) can be oriented and a configuration wherein the ring (6) is blocked.

  • Publication number: 20100174323
Abstract: The invention provides an osteosynthesis and compression screw that is self-boring and self-tapping for the purpose of coaptation of small bone fragments. The screw comprises: a proximal portion formed by a screw head provided with an outside thread; an intermediate portion having no thread; and a distal portion provided with an outside thread. Wherein: each of the screw head and the distal portion includes at least one groove, firstly extending over the entire axial length of its thread, and secondly being formed through each thread in such a manner to form tapping means; and the terminal zone of the distal portion is provided with preparation means for preparing a housing in the bone fragments for receiving the intermediate and distal portions of the screw.

  • Publication number: 20090036932
Abstract: The invention relates to a fixation kit (1) comprising an assembly part (2) comprising a housing comprising a first and second fixation member each comprising a head, said kit being characterized in that said housing is designed to cooperate with either of the fixation members and being shaped to create a seat against which the head is intended to rest, the seat and the head being shaped so that the cooperation of the seat and the head of the first fixation member locks the latter, and so that the cooperation of the seat and the head of the second fixation member enables a variation of the orientation thereof.

  • Patent number: 6319254
Abstract: An osteosynthesis screw comprising both a screw shank, having a thread with a distal zone and a proximal zone, and a screw head for threading on the screw shank and for co-operating with its proximal zone via internal tapping complementary to the thread of the shank is suitable for applying compression to bone fragments. The screw head also has an outside thread at a pitch that is smaller than the pitch of the screw shank, wherein the distal zone and the proximal zone are separated by a central zone shaped to be inactive during screwing so as to form a sliding zone for the bone fragments to be put into compression.
