Publication number: 20250146856Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods convert linear displacement of expanding and contracting flexible reservoir into rotational displacement which can be correlated to volume of reservoir through numerical measurements. Sensor can comprises one or more components the rotational displacement of which can be correlated to the volume of the flexible reservoir through numerical measurements. Rotation can be converted into digital data indicative of measurement of volume of flexible reservoir. Medical devices for administering liquid drug therapy comprising a flexible reservoir can implement such devices, systems, or methodology.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 26, 2023Publication date: May 8, 2025Applicant: Becton, Dickinson and CompanyInventors: Eric SUN, Kai QIAN

STACKING STACK TECHNIQUE FOR OPERATING SYSTEM KERNELS TO SUPPORT PRIORITIZED AND PREMPTIBLE TASKLETS
Publication number: 20240403128Abstract: Described is improved resource utilization for multithreading. A first run-time stack is constructed for a first tasklet by allocating a contiguous block of memory between starting and ending memory addresses in a stack pool. The first tasklet executes using a first portion of the contiguous block of memory, up to an intermediate memory address, prior to being preempted by a second tasklet. A second run-time stack is constructed in the stack pool by allocating a second starting memory address, before the ending memory address of the first run-time stack. The second tasklet executes from the second starting memory address, without overlapping the first portion of memory used to execute the first tasklet prior to preemption. Memory addresses associated with the second run-time stack are freed after the second tasklet terminates. Execution of the first tasklet resumes, using memory addresses previously associated with the first run-time stack prior to being preempted.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 2, 2023Publication date: December 5, 2024Inventors: Eric Sun, Naxin Sun -

Patent number: 11484950Abstract: A workholding apparatus comprises a base having a channel, two lower members each having a protrusion, and two upper members each having a cavity. Each lower member is coupled with an actuator placed inside the channel. Each upper member is removably coupled with a lower member by inserting the protrusion inside the cavity. The protrusions and the cavities include triangular regions having tilted sides. The upper members releasably engage the lower members by inserting the protrusions into the cavities. The lower members are coupled with an actuator which operates to move the lower members toward one another causing the upper members to generate a clamping, force. A mounting apparatus comprises two lower members and a single upper member, having similar protrusions and cavities, provides a mounting platform.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 2019Date of Patent: November 1, 2022Inventor: Eric Sun

Patent number: 10430425Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a request from a first user of an online social network, the request comprising a character string of one or more characters of text entered by the first user, identifying a first set of objects associated with the online social network matching at least in part the character string of the request, calculating a score for each identified object in the first set of objects, wherein the score for each identified object is based at least in part on connections between the first user and the identified object, and sending one or more suggested queries responsive to the request, each suggested query comprising the character string of the request and one or more keywords associated with one or more of the identified objects, wherein the suggested queries are displayed in a ranked list based on the calculated scores of the associated identified objects.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2016Date of Patent: October 1, 2019Assignee: Facebook, Inc.Inventors: Srinivasa Narayanan, Venkataramanan Nandagopal, Eric Sun

Patent number: 10311063Abstract: Embodiments improve the ability of users of a social networking system to search for information that is likely to be relevant to them by learning and/or applying a search context associated with selector components used to search for objects of the social networking system. The search context is specific to the use of an individual selector and thus need not be as general as the context of an entire page or set of pages in which selectors can be embedded. The social networking system may learn the context of a selector by monitoring user selections from prior search results performed using the selector.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2015Date of Patent: June 4, 2019Assignee: Facebook, Inc.Inventors: Cameron Alexander Marlow, Robert William Cathcart, Jeffrey Scott Dunn, Rafael Linden Sagula, Venkataramanan Iyer Nandagopal, Siddharth Kar, Eric Sun

Patent number: 10303696Abstract: Equivalent concepts expressed across multiple domains are matched and associated with a metapage generated by a social networking system. User preferences expressed on multiple domains, represented as pages in a social networking system, may be organized by concept and shared with advertisers, third-party developers, and other users of the social networking system using the metapages generated for the concepts. Aggregated social information may be presented to users of the social networking system viewing a page associated with a metapage. In one embodiment, a best page may be determined for a user based on information about the user.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2015Date of Patent: May 28, 2019Assignee: Facebook, Inc.Inventors: Robert William Cathcart, Rafael Linden Sagula, Cameron Alexander Marlow, Jonathan Chang, Siddharth Kar, Eric Sun

Patent number: 10240660Abstract: A flywheel device includes structures allowing the flywheel system to be assembled offsite, transported safely, and installed with relatively few steps. The flywheel includes a rotor and a housing enclosing the rotor, where the housing includes a bottom plate, a top plate and side walls. The bottom plate and the top plate each includes a hole aligned with the center axis of the rotor. The flywheel also includes multiple bearing housings substantially covering the holes of the bottom plate and the top plate that are aligned to the center axis of the rotor. The flywheel also includes posts that physically contact the primary rotational mass of the rotor to prevent motion of the rotor during transport of the flywheel system. Some or all of these posts may be repositioned or removed during installation so that the rotor can spin freely.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2016Date of Patent: March 26, 2019Assignee: Amber Kinetics, Inc.Inventors: Eric Sun, Daniel Bakholdin, Edward Young Chiao, Matthew Brandon Garten, Mike M. Patent number: 10138980Abstract: Embodiments of the subject invention are directed to a flywheel rotor that includes two or more sub-rotors stacked one on top of another, in which each sub-rotor is rotationally symmetric and disk shaped, where the axial centers of each sub-rotor in the stack are rotationally aligned, and each sub-rotor has an upper and a lower journal that extends outward from the origin of the center section of the primary rotational mass of the sub-rotor. Each pair of adjacent sub-rotors in the stack has a lower journal of an upper sub-rotor that is disposed above an upper journal of a lower sub-rotor. Also, there is a joining mechanism between each pair of adjacent sub-rotors that fixedly connects the lower journal of the upper sub-rotor to the upper journal of the lower sub-rotor.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2017Date of Patent: November 27, 2018Assignee: Amber Kinetics, Inc.Inventors: Seth R.
