  • Publication number: 20240344094
Abstract: The present invention provides for a method for producing an olefinic ester, the method comprising: (a) providing a host cell capable of producing olefinic ester; and (b) culturing the host cell to produce olefinic ester. In some embodiments, the olefinic ester is isoprenyl acetate. In some embodiments, the olefinic ester is isoprenyl acetate, and the method further comprises: (c) optionally recovering the isoprenyl acetate; (d) optionally (i) deacetylating the isoprenyl acetate into isoprene, and/or (ii) hydrolyzing isoprenyl acetate into isoprenol and dehydrating the isoprenol into isoprene; and, (e) optionally converting the isoprene into 1,4-dimethylcyclooctane (DMCO).
