Abstract: A device and method for removing moisture vapor from adjacent skin surfaces such as bariatric skin folds. The device may include a vapor permeable material, a spacer material, and an air mover that are configured to be inserted between adjacent skin surfaces. The device is inserted between adjacent skin surfaces and the air mover is operated to provide air flow through the spacer material.

Abstract: Improvements in technology related to adapters that enable portable information appliances to practice wireless network communications, in particular Internet communications, include use of such adapted appliances for: web browsing; receipt, recording and transmission of audio and video media; email, instant messaging, SMS and other electronic communications activities; and electronic gaming, including gaming with software received via network and multi-player online gaming. Improvements further employ stored memory in the adapter to enable an adapted appliance to serve as a personal information manager. Improvements further include use of stored memory for the adapted appliance to enable the user to obtain paid services such as voice telecommunications. Stored memory further permits the adapted appliance to function as an electronic wallet for the purchase of goods and services.

Abstract: A portable adapter for a cellular telephone set enables the use of the handset for wireless voice over Internet protocol communications. Some embodiments of the present invention further enable such communication over wired connection, such as Ethernet. Some embodiments further provide a means for using the adapter to provide VOIP capabilities for wired standard telephone sets. Some embodiments further provide power to the cellular telephone set. Some embodiments provide means for control communications with the adapter along with signal communications carried by the adapter. Preferred embodiments employ a form factor appropriate for portability, with some embodiments implemented in a form factor conforming to that of the cellular handset battery, thereby enhancing portability and utility.
