  • Publication number: 20190113773
Abstract: A goggle may include a goggle frame, a lens assembly magnetically coupled to the goggle frame, and first and second retention features securing the lens assembly to the goggle frame at first and second locations, respectively, to resist decoupling of the lens assembly from the goggle frame. The lens assembly may be removable from the goggle frame by actuating only one of the first retention feature or the second retention feature. A method of removing a lens assembly from a goggle frame may include actuating a first latch securing the lens assembly to the goggle frame; after actuating the first latch, pivoting the lens assembly away from the goggle frame about a second latch securing the lens assembly to the goggle frame; and after pivoting the lens assembly, laterally translating the lens assembly away from the second latch without actuating the second latch.

  • Patent number: 10197814
Abstract: An eyewear may include a lens and first and second temples individually removably attachable to opposite ends of the lens. The eyewear may include an attachment mechanism coupled to each of the temples, which includes a tab portion, a lever portion, a magnet attached to one of the tab or lever portions, and a magnetic material, which may be another magnet or a ferromagnetic material, attached to the other one of the tab or lever portions. The magnet and magnetic material are arranged on opposing sides of the tab and lever portions to urge them in a first direction towards one another. A carrier may be attached to each of the first and second end portions and may be configured to position the tab and lever portions on opposite sides of the lens as well as to constrain movement of the tab portion along a direction opposite the first direction.

  • Publication number: 20140188252
Abstract: An above knee prosthesis comprises an upper block, a lower block, a middle linkage pivotably coupling the middle posterior regions of the upper and lower blocks together, and at least one side linkage pivotably coupling the sides of the upper and lower blocks together. The center of rotation of the prosthesis is located above the prosthesis when it is in full extension and moves downward as the prosthesis rotates into full flexion. When the prosthesis is in use and in full extension, a majority of the weight of the patient borne by the prosthesis is directly transferred from the upper block to the lower block. A bumper disposed between the upper and lower blocks will typically be provided to absorb shock and dampen noise when the prosthesis is in extension. A leaf spring may be provided to bias the prosthesis to be in extension.

  • Publication number: 20010037893
Abstract: With the intention of rendering a component impervious to washing liquid while preventing the occurrence of a pressure difference between the interior of the encapsulated component and outside the component, a small hole (6), a microhole, is formed in the component encapsulating casing. The provision of at least one such microhole in the casing encapsulate the component enables gas to flow through while preventing the throughflow of liquid. This permits a circuit board loaded with such encapsulated components to be washed. Practical tests and calculations have shown that an effective hole diameter in this regard is from 10-50 &mgr;m, for instance 30 &mgr;m, in order for the encapsulated component to be liquid impervious while unaffected by pressure. The diameter of the hole will depend on the use of the encapsulated component.
