The door module includes a plurality of carrier portions including a first carrier portion that holds at least one functional door hardware component and a second carrier portion that holds at least one other functional door hardware component. The plurality of carrier portions are mounted to the inner panel to seal the aperture thereby defining a wet side of the door module facing towards the door cavity and a dry side of the door module facing away from the door cavity.

    Abstract: An apparatus for alleviating window buffeting noise and associated vibrations along a rear window of an automotive vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a baffle received in a recess of a B-pillar. The B-pillar is located forward of the rear window, and the baffle is disposed vertically along the B-pillar. The baffle extends over at least a portion of the height of the opening to the rear window. An actuation mechanism moves the baffle outward of the B-pillar when the window is lowered to a predetermined lower position, such that the baffle deflects air flow and thus reduces window buffeting along the open window. The actuation mechanism also retracts the baffle back into the B-pillar when the window is raised to a predetermined raised position, at which window buffeting is no longer significant.

The final gear is mounted to a stationary member of the vehicle, and is pivotable about a pivot axis between a first position and a second position. The drive arm is pivotable with the final gear about the pivot axis and which has a drive end that is laterally movable relative to the sunroof panel but that is operatively connected to the sunroof panel to drive the sunroof panel longitudinally between the open and closed positions during pivoting movement of the final gear between the first and second positions.

    Abstract: A removable detent mechanism to be utilized with a vehicle door hinge assembly for providing a temporary door check mechanism during painting of the vehicle body and door assembly. The detent mechanism is positioned between the door hinge pin and the vehicle hinge bracket. An interference lobe formed on the detent mechanism is engageable with a portion of the door hinge bracket to generate a detent force during the opening and closing of the door assembly relative to the vehicle body. The removable detent mechanism is provided with local stiffness features which enable adjustment of the detent force.
