  • Publication number: 20130134898
Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED), wherein the LED comprises a plurality of active regions, each of the plurality of active regions of the LED configured to produce a distinct emission falling within a primary wavelength range, the LED further configured to control the intensity of the distinct emission from each of the plurality of active regions thereby producing an output emission in a wavelength range of any desired color.

  • Patent number: 8028238
Abstract: A method, medium and implementing processing system are provided in which electronic message content and other selected or predetermined components of an electronic message are automatically displayed whenever an abbreviated or condensed message identification on a listing of messages is highlighted by a user. In one exemplary embodiment, Whenever an item of a message listing is highlighted by a user of a wireless phone or other communication device, a first pop-up content window is created and overlaid upon the listing display. The content window enables the user to view only predetermined portions, for example the first several lines of text of the highlighted message without having to access and scroll through other detailed portions of the message.

  • Patent number: 7687816
Abstract: A light emitting diode and a method of producing white light from the light emitting diode with an active region producing an emission falling in a primary wavelength range. A first part of the active region covered with a first conversion element for converting the emission falling in the primary wavelength range to an emission falling in a second wavelength range. A remaining second part of the active region covered with a second conversion element for converting the emission falling in the primary wavelength rage to an emission falling in a third wavelength range. The light emitting diode is configured to control the intensity of the emission falling in the primary wavelength range to control the color point of the white light generated by mixing the emissions falling the second wavelength range and the third wavelength range.

  • Publication number: 20090282248
Abstract: A system and method for securing electronic mail by providing secure access to e-mail folders. A number of folders can be created in order to classify electronic mail content. Folders can be encrypted and locked utilizing a password. A “closed lock” symbol can be displayed by the side of a folder when the folder is locked and an “open lock” symbol can be displayed when the folder is opened, thereby providing a visual indication of the status of the folder. The folders can also be automatically locked after a period of time, which can be defined by a user or the e-mail system. The electronic mail content in the locked folders cannot be displayed when a user elects to display the contents of all folders, thereby providing an additional level of security. Similarly, restricted access can also be provided to a user or a group of users to access the locked folder(s).
