  • Patent number: 4930580
Abstract: An edge cutter comprising a cutter member and support means therefore adapted to be moved to cut along a guide such as the edge of a path, comprising:means to support the cutter member on transport means, means to allow the cutter member to move laterally with respect to the direction of movement of the transport means, means to urge the cutter member to move toward the guide, and, means to allow the cutter member to caster to align with the guide.

  • Patent number: 4721048
Abstract: The invention is directed to a trash seeder having a seeding tyne and a following press wheel. A hydraulic cylinder applies pressure to both the seeding tyne and the press wheel. The press wheel is pivoted to the frame by a trailing arm and the tyne is pivoted to the trailing arm, the hydraulic cylinder acting on the tyne. Thus the single hydraulic cylinder applies pressure to both tyne and wheel, while allowing the tyne to move upwardly over obstructions without effecting operation of the press wheel.

  • Patent number: 4558882
Abstract: A seeder cart having draft apparatus and caster wheels arranged to be coupled between draft bars of an agricultural implement, the seeder cart carrying seed and/or fertilizer bins and a metering arrangement to feed the seed and/or fertilizer to distributor points on the implement characterized by a pull head on the seeder cart having withdrawable pins on the pull head allowing the implement to be detached from the draft bar of the seeder cart, the pull head having a universal coupling device between it and the draft apparatus of the seeder cart and the seeder cart having limited movement stabilizer apparatus connecting its rear portion to the draft bars of the implement.

  • Patent number: 4514114
Abstract: An improved seed and/or fertilizer distributor of the air-seeder type having a sealed hopper and having a pressure equalizing line communicating between the hopper and a chamber in which is disposed a metering device arranged to have the same pressure on the intake as on the outlet side, with the metering device feeding into a duct opening to the air stream which conveys the seed and/or fertilizer.

  • Patent number: 4506609
Abstract: An agricultural implement for seed planting having a series of independent planter units at the rear of a frame with the planter units connected to the frame in such a manner that the press wheels of the planter units form the rear wheels of the implement, the frame having forward wheels, and the series of independent units are interconnected through common hydraulic means to allow accommodation of ground irregularities without materially changing the downward loading on each independent unit.

  • Patent number: 4480794
Abstract: For an agricultural implement a distributor for feeding seed and/or fertilizer from an air duct to a series of distributor tubes leading to planter units in which the air-entrained seed and/or fertilizer is separated in the distributor to pass some air continuously to the distributor tubes and the remaining air and the seed and/or fertilizer is directed by a rotating deflector to flow sequentially into the series of distributor tubes.
