  • Publication number: 20240130635
Abstract: A device is provided for overcoming freezing of gait. Suitably, the device includes a sleeve sized and shaped to be worn on a leg of a human subject, an array of electrodes carried by the sleeve and positioned to make surface contact with a skin of the leg when the sleeve is worn on by the human subject, and a controller in communication with the array of electrodes. The controller is operative to receive muscle activity data from the array of electrodes indicative of muscle activity in the leg, identify an onset of a freezing of gait episode based on the received muscle activity data, and trigger energization of one or more targeted electrodes in response to identification of the onset of the freezing of gait episode to mitigate against the freezing of gait episode.

  • Publication number: 20220122105
Abstract: Systems and methods for market connectivity assessment are disclosed. In an example method, population data and distance data for a plurality of geographical areas may be input to a model to determine predicted population migration data indicating predicted population migrations between the plurality of geographical areas. An indication of a first geographical area of the plurality of geographical areas may be received. A second geographical area may be determined based on the predicted population migration between the first and second geographical areas and the connectivity metric associated with the second geographical area.

  • Publication number: 20010022865
Abstract: The present invention provides a flexible bag comprising at least one sheet of flexible sheet material assembled to form a semi-enclosed container having an opening defined by a periphery. The opening defines an opening plane, and bag is expandable in response to forces exerted by contents within the bag to provide an increase in volume of the bag such that said the accommodates the contents placed therein.

  • Patent number: 6150647
Abstract: A food storage and preparation bag at least one sheet of flexible sheet material assembled to form a semi-enclosed container having an opening defined by a periphery and a closure for sealing the opening to convert the semi-enclosed container to a closed container. The opening defines an opening plane and the sheet material includes a first region and a second region being comprised of the same material composition. The first region undergoes a substantially molecular-level deformation and the second region initially undergoes a substantially geometric deformation when the sheet material is subjected to an applied elongation along at least one axis. The first region and the second region are visually distinct from one another, wherein the second region includes a plurality of raised rib-like elements and the first region is substantially free of rib-like elements.

  • Patent number: 4929410
Abstract: A method for blow-molding a thermoplastic container having a body-portion and a neck-portion provided with a dispensing orifice and internal attachment means, with such method including the steps of: (a) forming a hollow parison of thermoplastic material having an open end; (b) placing the parison within a female mold cavity having a body-forming portion and a neck-forming portion such that the open end of the parison is located within the neck-forming portion of the mold cavity; (c) inserting an expandable core pin into the open end of the parison, with such core pin including blowing means connected to a pressure source and having relieved areas formed on its exterior surfaces; (d) expanding the core pin such that the open upper end of the parison is forced against the neck-forming portion of the mold cavity and into the relieved areas on the exterior of the core pin, thereby forming the internal attachment means on the inner surface of the open end of the parison; (e) introducing pressure through the blowi

  • Patent number: 4753591
Abstract: An improved cutting sleeve for the removal of flash from thermoplastic containers is disclosed. When used in conjunction with a blow-pin the cutting sleeve is movable relative to the blow-pin. In a preferred embodiment the cutting sleeve comprises two portions of different diameter. Use of the cutting sleeve results in an improved finish of the container neck.
