  • Patent number: 10704412
Abstract: An assembly for use with a gas turbine engine includes a block housing, a main bell crank, a bell crank, and a sync rod. The main bell crank extends between a main bell crank first end and a main bell crank second end that is connected to an actuator. The bell crank extends between a bell crank first end and a bell crank second end that is pivotally supported by the block housing. The sync rod is connected the main bell crank first end and the bell crank first end. The sync rod defines a first tab disposed proximate a first side and extends beyond a face of the sync rod.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: July 7, 2020
    Assignee: RAYTHEON TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION
Inventors: Lauren Dohse, Eric Weston Awtry
  • Patent number: 10662804
Abstract: A variable vane assembly according to an example of the present disclosure includes an actuator. A connection linkage is pivotable by the actuator. A component receives direct input from the connection linkage providing a cam surface. A driving linkage is interfaced with the cam surface. A variable vane is coupled to the driving linkage. The pivoting of the component and cam surface causes the driving linkage to pivot the vane.
