  • Patent number: 11958510
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a bearing hub assembly of a rail guide wheel apparatus for a rail vehicle. The bearing hub assembly may couple rail wheels to the rail guide wheel apparatus. The rail guide wheel apparatus may be included on a Hi-Rail vehicle or any other vehicle configured to travel along railroad tracks. The bearing hub assembly includes a sensor that is integrally mounted within the bearing hub assembly. The sensor collects information associated with rotation of the rail wheels. Information collected by the sensor may be used to determine a speed, direction, location, and/or distance traveled of the rail vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20240072621
Abstract: A method of making an electromagnetic coil for use in a high-temperature electromagnetic machine includes pre-coating magnet wire with a high-temperature insulation precursor to produce pre-coated magnet wire, winding, while applying in-situ a glass-ceramic slurry, the pre-coated magnet wire into a predetermined coil shape to produce a wet-wound green coil, and thermally processing the wet-wound green coil to produce a processed coil. In some instances, a second layer of a high-temperature insulation may be applied to the processed coil to produce a further insulated processed coil, and then thermally processing the further insulated processed coil to produce a further processed electromagnetic coil.

  • Publication number: 20150281710
Abstract: A cloud video system selectively uploads a high-resolution video and instructs one or more client devices to perform distributed processing on the high-resolution video. A client device registers high-resolution videos accessed by the client device from a camera communicatively coupled to the client device. A portion of interest within a low-resolution video transcoded from the high-resolution video is selected. A task list is generated specifying the selected portion of the high-resolution video and at least one task to perform on the portion of the high-resolution video. Commands are transmitted to prompt the client device to perform the at least one task on the specified portion of the high-resolution video according to the task list. The specified portion of the high-resolution video is modified according to the task list and uploaded to the cloud. Example tasks include transcoding, applying edits, extracting metadata, and generating highlight tags.
