Patent number: 11796822Abstract: A modular sensor and display module comprises an enclosure with a rigid frame and front and back visor lens encapsulating sensors, waveguide optics, and display/projection devices that provide various functions for a typical head-mounted device. A front visor may conceal sensors and other components and may further provide dimming for holographic displays. The modular sensor and display module may include a standard interface for attachment to various fit systems, including, for example, headband, VR headset, glasses temples, helmet, and the like. A further module, such as a rear-attachment module, may be provided that can provide auxiliary compute, storage, and power resources for the modular sensor and display module.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2022Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Nicolas Denhez, Paul Andrew Bosveld, Louis Berger, Young Duk Song, Erik Holverson, Eric Witt

Publication number: 20130080338Abstract: Embodiments are provided that include creating projects based in part on a number of collaborative list items and mapping information, but are not so limited. In an embodiment, a computing environment includes a project management system and a collaboration system that are used in part to manage an ideation to project creation process based in part on mappings used to map collaboration information between the collaboration system and the project management system. A method of an embodiment includes the use of mapping information and/or settings in part to create new projects from collaborative list items, wherein a project creation process includes copying over list item values according to the mapping information, storing an identifier of a collaborative list item in each created project, and/or storing an identifier of a created project as part of a corresponding list item. Other embodiments are also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2011Publication date: March 28, 2013Applicant: MICROSOFT CORPORATIONInventors: Daniel C. Patent number: 7185678Abstract: A noise reducing device for a pressurized fluid stream, i.e., a gas, includes a housing. An inlet end and an outlet end of the housing each have at least one orifice for passing a fluid therethrough. The inlet end orifice includes an inlet face and an outlet face and the inlet end orifice is configured for maintaining a backpressure upstream of the inlet end orifice. A diffusing pack material is disposed within the housing. One or more stiffeners may be disposed within the diffusing pack material to ensure that the diffusing pack material maintains contact with the outlet face of the inlet end orifice and/or to prevent the migration of the diffusing pack material within the housing, thereby maintaining a homogeneous distribution of the pack material.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 2003Date of Patent: March 6, 2007Assignee: Nitram Energy, Inc.Inventors: James Dennis Stell, Stephen Eric Witt

Publication number: 20060208459Abstract: A ski or ski-like device with an improved edging feature to assist skiers in edging during icy conditions. The edging feature includes a structure and method that provides a lateral edge on the inside of the ski that can extend into the snow surface beneath the bottom surface of the ski. When the ski is turned (i.e., rotated about its longitudinal axis) the extended inside edge of the downhill ski digs into the snow surface to provide improved gripping and control. The edge adapted to extend beneath the bottom surface of the ski is provided either by attaching an edge that extends below the bottom surface of the ski, or by providing a bottom surface of the ski in the region adjacent to the extended edge that is arranged to yield under pressure, to expose the extended edge when vertical force is applied to the bottom surface of the ski during a turn.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 16, 2005Publication date: September 21, 2006Inventors: Gerald Harris, Eric Witte, Leah Harris
