  • Patent number: 12183068
Abstract: Computing platforms and methods are disclosed for verification of cleaning services to be performed in an area to be cleaned. Exemplary implementations may: identify, from among a plurality of cleaning regions relating to the area to be cleaned, a group of designated cleaning regions; randomly generate, with respect to the plurality of cleaning regions, a set of inspection regions; provide a user interface to prompt a user to capture an image of each inspection region; directly capture the images of each inspection region via the user interface; compare the captured images of each inspection region with corresponding reference images to determine whether each of the inspection regions has been properly cleaned; and output an inspection result based on the comparison of the captured images with the corresponding reference images. Implementations provide a method for virtually supervising otherwise unsupervised workers, which increases accountability and generates unprecedented visibility.

  • Patent number: 10943187
Abstract: A method of providing reservation status relating to a group of objects includes providing a database for containing (i) availability data describing availability of at least one of the group of objects, and (ii) reservation data describing allocation of at least one of the group of objects. The availability data and the reservation data are stored in sparse form. The method further includes extracting, from the database, availability data and reservation data corresponding to a predetermined period of time, and combining the extracted availability data and reservation data to form windowed data in a dense format. The method also includes receiving the windowed data and providing the windowed data in a bit-vector view, and sampling the windowed data in the bit-vector view to produce sampled data. The sampled data provides the reservation status as a static view of the windowed data in the bit-vector view.

  • Patent number: 10297097
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for reserving a reservable asset using a mobile device. A mobile device communicates directly with a vehicle-associated control module or through a reservation server using either a TCP/IP communications channel or near-field communications. A member enters a request using the user interface provided by the mobile-device application. The identity of the member is validated the vehicle-associated control module executes the request by sending a signal to a computer or sensor in the vehicle through the vehicle wiring or the vehicle CANbus. The request can be a function, such as unlocking the vehicle doors, illuminating the interior or exterior lights, honking the horn, or activating a panic alarm.

  • Patent number: 8018632
Abstract: An apparatus and method for scanning documents such as ID cards and bank checks that includes hinged cover and base assemblies. The base includes motor driven drive rollers for conveying a document along a paper path defined between the cover and base. The cover includes a plurality of pinch rollers forming part of a floating deck that is carried by cover structure and which is spring biased towards the base assembly. Two side-by-side scanning regions are provided, one of which is configured to scan flexible documents, the other of which is configured to scan rigid media such ID cards. Sensors detect the position of the document. A solenoid driven, replaceable ink stamp imprints a document to indicate that it has been scanned. A weight biased diverter is deflected by rigid documents to enable exit through a slot. An entrance guide includes an offset guide wall to improve feeding.

  • Patent number: 7824119
Abstract: A printer that can be configured either as a dot matrix/impact printer or an inkjet printer. A printer frame mounts a carriage mechanism for reciprocally moving a head carrier. An adapter secures a printhead to the carrier; the adapter being configured to accept a predetermined type of printhead. A compensator/feeder assembly is pivotally movable between a printing position and a printer open position at which a slot for receiving a form is defined. The compensator/feeder assembly mounts a printer bar which is positioned in a confronting relationship with the printhead when the assembly is in the printing position. A compensator drive arrangement is fixed to a base and effects movement in the feeder assembly.

  • Patent number: 6730873
Abstract: A consumable, oxy-carbon arc cutting electrode to be used in an oxygen exothermic torch for cutting both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The cutting electrode includes a hollow, outer copper clad steel tube. A plurality of copper clad carbon fuel rods run through and are surrounded by the outer tube. The plurality of fuel rods are aligned in side-by-side engagement with one another and positioned circumferentially around the interior of the outer tube so that a passageway extends longitudinally through the outer tube in coaxial alignment with the circumferential arrangement of fuel rods. Pure oxygen gas is blown from the torch down the passageway through the center of the outer tube and along the fuel rods. By virtue of the foregoing, the oxy-carbon arc cutting electrode of this invention is capable of sustaining a higher combustion temperature, having a longer life, and generating lower levels of noise relative to conventional exothermic and air-carbon-arc cutting rods.
