The report template contains placeholders for information such as case-specific images and measureable values, and the placeholders are filled in by either the radiologist or by automatic procedures such as image processing algorithms, text extraction algorithms, or the like. In this manner, the radiologist is assisted in effectively generating a reader-independent high-quality diagnostic report.
