Abstract: Methods and systems for reducing electrical leakage current between a patient and a medical device include sensing electrical current in a fluid line and inducing a cancelling electrical current or voltage to reduce the electrical leakage current. A system for implementing the method includes one or more sensors/transducers and a controller that drives the transducer(s) based on signals from the sensor(s).

Abstract: A heating device is designed to heat a liquid while minimizing current that is induced in the liquid. The heating device includes a radiant heat source and a heated member such that the radiant heat source applies radiant energy to the heated member and the heated member is positioned within a vessel. The radiant energy from the radiant heat source is radiated across an empty or gas-filled gap between the radiant heat source and the heated member and the heated member transfers heat to the liquid.

Abstract: A line mount includes a treatment machine having a housing and one or more magnets or ferromagnetic elements mounted thereon, a line holder having at least one complementary one of magnets and ferromagnetic elements such as to cause the line holder to be attachable magnetically to the housing. The one or more magnets or ferromagnetic elements being numbered and arranged to permit the line holder to be supported thereby in multiple positions and orientations relative to the housing.

Abstract: A flow restrictor includes a flexible tube held in a housing and a linear actuator connected through an intermediate link to a distal link via a first revolute joint proximate the linear actuator and a second revolute joint connecting the intermediate and distal links. The distal link has a distal end adjacent the flexible tube and the intermediate and distal links are constrained to move such that when the linear actuator moves the first revolute joint toward the linear actuator, the distal end of the distal link is driven into the side of the tube thereby progressively occluding the flexible tube.
