  • Patent number: 4831695
Abstract: A winding drum particularly adapted for the production of short warps, such as cloth designs in multicolor weaving, which includes a winding drum having an exterior peripheral surface upon which thread is wound, the winding drum including an axis of rotation about which the winding drum is rotated, a plurality of lease rods carried by the rotatable with a winding member, a plurality of bobbins each having a cord wound thereupon, the bobbins being carried by and rotatable with the winding member, each cord being connected to an associated lease rod, and the lease rods being mounted for parallel and transverse movement relative to the winding drum whereby any cord can be selectively adapted to define a demarcation zone between yarn wound in successive groups upon the winding drum peripheral surface.

  • Patent number: 4765041
Abstract: In apparatus for the production of short warps, yarns of different color are consecutively wound up while traversing yarn crossing means. A drum having a conically ascending initial portion is provided as a winding body, while lease rods and an overrun rod are displaceably fitted along the drum axis. A support (18) displaceable along the drum axis includes a thread guide means and a heald frame (24) for shedding. In addition to the lease rods (4,5) serving for the formation of yarn crossings, the warping drum comprises further lease rods (5) for the preparation of yarn divisions (86). As for the heald frame (24), it comprises in addition to the two shafts for the yarn crossing formation, further shafts (27a,b,c . . . ) of a number of corresponding to the yarn divisions of the yarn package.

  • Patent number: 4683625
Abstract: Apparatus for the production of short warps, particularly cloth designs in multicolor weaving in which differently colored yarns are wound one after the other and are crossed while being wound, including a drum of generally conical configuration upon which yarn is wound, the drum being rotated during a winding operation, a carriage adjacent the drum, guideways supporting the carriage for sliding movement generally parallel to the axis of the drum, the carrier having detachably secured thereto a carrier section, a slide bar carried by the carrier section for separating selected yarn from remaining yarn, the slide bar being movable generally parallel to and transversely of the drum axis to separate selected yarn, at least one lease rod and one overrun rod carried by the carrier section for movement parallel to the drum axis, and a cam for moving the lease rod generally transversely of the drum axis and the overrun rod generally parallel to the drum axis.

  • Patent number: 4562669
Abstract: A grinding machine for grinding the peripheral surface of a cylindrical workpiece having a rotatable axle extending from it by a rotating grinding roller has a feeding device which grips the axle of the workpiece and advances the workpiece against the perimeter of the grinding roller. The machine is intended for grinding ordinary spinning cylinders comprising two cylinders of hard rubber material which are rotatably mounted at a distance from each other on a common axle and particularly for regrinding such spinning cylinders, which can experience unequal wear, in order to precisely equalize their diameters.
