  • Patent number: 9211791
Abstract: A vehicle air intake system includes a grille disposed along the front portion of an engine compartment, a hood disposed over the engine compartment, and an air intake enclosure disposed over a bulkhead extending laterally across the engine compartment. The intake enclosure has an intake port. A bulkhead cover is disposed in the engine compartment below the hood for covering the bulkhead. The bulkhead cover has an upper part and a lower part. The upper part is sealingly engaged to both the intake port and the lower part. The lower part defines a bulkhead cover intake port. An airflow path extends from the grille through the bulkhead cover intake port and to the air intake enclosure intake port. The airflow path is defined by the grille and the bulkhead cover.

  • Patent number: 9023475
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for spraying particulate solids onto a substrate, comprising the steps of: coating the substrate with a wet and/or adhesive synthetic resin layer, building up a gas pressure in a line, generating a pressure differential in the line, swirling and carrying along particulate solids in the line, ejecting swirled, particulate solids from the line onto the surface of the wet and/or adhesive synthetic resin layer of the substrate. The invention also relates to a substrate, in particular a wood-based panel or decorative paper, at least partially coated with a particulate solid, characterized in that the particulate solid is applied to the substrate with an accuracy of up to ±0.8 g/m2, preferably of up to ±0.5 g/m2, particularly preferably of up to ±0.3 g/m2, preferably of up to 0.1 g/m2.

  • Patent number: 8096261
Abstract: The invention relates to a substrate, a method for spraying particulate solids onto a substrate and an apparatus for spraying particulate solids onto a substrate covered with a wet and/or adhesive synthetic resin layer, comprising a feed line having means for generating a gas pressure at its first end and a free opening at its second end, a reservoir for particulate solids, and a nozzle for generating a pressure differential, wherein the reservoir and the nozzle are inserted in the line in such a way that particulate solids are taken out of the reservoir into the line and swirled, and transported to the open end of the line, from which the particulate solids are ejected and sprayed onto the wet and/or adhesive synthetic resin layer, by the pressure differential generated by the nozzle in operation.
