Abstract: A drain stop and overflow mechanism that is particularly well-suited for use with a free-standing bathtub includes a drainpipe that can be connected to a water drain opening in the bathtub. A standpipe can be connected at a bottom end to a waste water line and also to the drainpipe. A sleeve provides an internal overflow system within the standpipe, and a plunger controlling drainage is positioned within the sleeve.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a plumbing spout that has back flow protection. The spout positions a check valve vacuum breaker underneath the pull up knob in a plug assembly. The spout provides back flow protection even though it has no fluid control valve for controlling flow through to the spout outlet.

A biased slidable member is positioned in the bore and provides for fluid flow between the fluid inlet and outlet when the valve is in a first position. High flow and stop flow positions are also provided upon compression of the trigger. The valve can be employed in conjunction with a combined spray and aerator head, as well as a hose take-up assembly.

A mixing valve is positioned in a faucet body which permits exiting water to flow outside the mixing valve inside the faucet housing. The valve unit is thus partially submerged by the water that has passed through it. The pool of water helps to create a more gentle uniform flow of water. A flow regulator can be positioned in the fluid outlet of the valve.
