    Abstract: An armour plate (1) comprises cavities (2), which are arranged with a plurality of packing bodies (3) in an irregular or regular shape relative to each other. The packing bodies are hollow-bodied, preferably spherical or tubular, and consist of a non-metallic material, preferably glass or ceramic. The interspaces between the packing bodies are filled out with a plastics, preferably a foam made for example of polyurethane.
