  • Patent number: 12669177
Abstract: A seal assembly including: a housing including a wall; a gasket surrounded by the wall; and a reinforcement member defining an aperture and extending continuously and entirely around the aperture, the reinforcement member in contact with the gasket and surrounded by the gasket such that the gasket is between the reinforcement member and the wall of the housing. The reinforcement member includes a spring at which the reinforcement member is configured to compress during insertion of the reinforcement member within the gasket, the spring is biased outward to press the reinforcement member against the gasket and press the gasket against the wall of the housing.

  • Patent number: 12655922
Abstract: A spigot assembly for connecting a coolant flow conduit to a rechargeable battery thermal management system includes a male spigot, a coolant spigot having a connector body defining an internal coolant flow cavity and having a conduit connection end opening and a male spigot connection end opening. The spigot assembly includes a ceramifiable silicone rubber seal. The connector body is configured to receive the male spigot within the internal coolant flow cavity at the male spigot connection end opening, with the ceramifiable silicone rubber seal disposed between and sealing against an outer side of the male spigot and an inner side of the connector body. A spigot assembly is disclosed that has a collar surrounding the connector body. The collar has an angled inner wall configured to align the male spigot with the connector body and shield the seal from heat. A vehicle having the spigot assembly is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7048279
Abstract: A gasket assembly is formed at least two carrier layers laminated together and formed with at least one opening through the carrier corresponding to openings across a parting plane of two members to be sealed. an elastomeric seal is molded to the carrier to define sealing beads on opposite sides of the carrier adjacent the opening with respective contact surfaces which engage the members to be scaled. The sealing contact surfaces are asymmetrically arranged contact surfaces are asymmetrically arranged relative to one another across the carrier to accommodate associated misalignment of the openings of the members to be sealed across the parting plane.
