  • Patent number: 11137095
Abstract: A method for assembly of a fitting with a pipe piece using a flange connection disposes centering elements on the fitting at a distance from one another on the circumference, and centering bolts are inserted into centering openings of the centering elements and into accommodation openings of the fitting. A collar surface of the pipe piece is aligned on alignment surfaces of the centering elements. Subsequently, a loose flange ring is aligned on the centering bolts via its passage openings. The fitting and the pipe piece, which are aligned with one another, are connected with one another by the flange ring as well as connection elements, and in this regard, the centering elements and centering bolts are removed. Also a method having a similar effect, for assembly of two pipe pieces uses a flange connection, as does a centering apparatus for assembly.

  • Patent number: 5264878
Abstract: The present invention relates to novel polymers, to processes for the preparation thereof, to contact lenses consisting substantially of those polymers and to processes for the manufacture thereof and to the use of the novel polymers for the manufacture of contact lenses. The polymers according to the invention are especially the copolymerisation products of monomer mixtures comprising the following monomers:______________________________________ a) 20-60% siloxane monovinyl component b) 1-25% siloxane oligovinyl component c) 10-55% fluorine-containing vinyl component d) 3-30% hydrophobic vinyl component having a bulky hydrocarbon radical, e) 0-10% hydrophilic vinyl component f) 0-15% additional cross-linking vinyl component. ______________________________________The novel polymers and the contact lenses made therefrom are distinguished by a high degree of hardness while at the same time being highly permeable to oxygen.

  • Patent number: 5210169
Abstract: The invention relates to a thermosetting composition which comprises at least one blocked polyisocyanate of formula I or II ##STR1## wherein n is an integer .gtoreq.2,Q is an organic radical of valency n, andR.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, R.sub.8 are each independently of one another hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or hydroxyl, anda primary or secondary polyamine which is liquid at room temperature and is suitable for crosslinking, which blocked polyisocyanate is essentially insoluble in the polyamine at ambient temperature or moderately elevated temperature. The novel compositions invention have a particularly high reactivity and good shelf stability. An important embodiment of the invention relates to those compositions in which the blocked isocyanate is essentially insoluble in the polyamine at the storage temperature. The novel compositions are especially suitable for bonding plastics materials and metals.
