  • Patent number: 6453898
Abstract: A cover is provided to protect the sight of an archery bow from distortion caused by falling precipitation, regardless of the horizontal position of the bow. The bow is provided with a sight having a lens; the sight is attached to the bow by a bracket. A cover is pivotally attached to the bracket, and includes an upper protective hood over the sight, and a lower counterweight. The counterweight is of sufficient weight so that the cover will pivot about the bracket as the bow is pivoted about a horizontal axis, or laid down, so the hood will maintain its protective position above the sight.

  • Patent number: 6351970
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for extracting xenon and eventually also krypton from a liquid oxygen (LOX) charge, as it accrues in a cryogenic air separation system (LZA) during a rectification of the air, mostly as a bottom product of a low-pressure, column, namely with xenon (Xe), krypton (Kr) and hydrocarbons (CxHy) in a small concentration and approximately 99 mol % oxygen (O2). According to the inventive method, the LOX charge is fed to a first column, the oxygen of the LOX charge is extensively removed by stripping with an inert gas, and is extracted in the top gas, whereas the inert gas is withdrawn in the form of a liquid from the bottom of the first column with little O2 and nearly the total mass of CxHy, Kr, Xe. According to the invention, the liquid discharge is fed to a second column without prior catalytic and/or adsorptive removal of CxHy. A Kr fraction is extracted as top gas of the second column, and an Xe fraction is withdrawn from the bottom of the second column.

  • Patent number: 3947112
Abstract: A document photographing device has a surface for supporting a document to be photographed, a camera positioned about the surface, to receive light reflected from and transmitted by a document supported on the surface, and separate means for illuminating the document from above and below respectively. An exposure meter receives light reflected from or transmitted through the document and indicates when correct exposure conditions have been set. The exposure meter includes correction means for correcting the reading of the exposure meter to take account of the different spectral radiation characteristics of the illuminating means.
