  • Patent number: 9423280
Abstract: A sensor includes at least a housing (3) which encloses a housing interior (6), a printed circuit board (8) and a sensing element (10). The printed circuit board (8) has electronic components (9) and is located within the housing interior (6). The sensing element (10) is electrically connected to the printed circuit board (8) and is located within the housing interior (6). The sensing element (10) is frictionally connected to the housing (3) so that the sensing element (10) is held in position in the housing interior (6).

  • Patent number: 5277000
Abstract: In order to grind clothing of a carding element, such as a cylinder of a textile machine, such as a card, during operation of the cylinder, a slide is moved back-and-forth across the clothing. The slide is reciprocated back-and-forth by an inner run of a drive belt guided in guides such that the drive belt together with a grinding element, like a grinding stone, closes a housing totally covering the arrangement. As a result, neither grinding dust nor fibers can enter the housing. Each time the grinding stone moves past a grinding member, such as a diamond rake or diamond roller this grinding stone is re-ground, so that the clothing is maintained sharpened by the continuous grinding operation and the grinding stone itself is cleaned or re-ground by the grinding member. Also, structure detects the degree of wear of the grinding element so that upon reaching a predetermined value such grinding element can be replaced.

  • Patent number: 5144723
Abstract: In order to optimally control the air supply in a diverging gap between a card main cylinder and a doffer roll, an air guide plate with a predetermined spacing on the narrowest part between the air guide plate and the surface of the main cylinder and with an aperture angle is arranged close to the main cylinder so that a converging gap is provided between the air guide plate and the surface of the main cylinder. In this converging gap, a pressure head builds up in operation through the air conveyed from the surface of the main cylinder, which leads to an overflow over a nose of the air guide plate. This overflow helps the fleece, which is loosened from the main cylinder, to more easily reach the doffer surface. In order to control the quantity of overflowing air, the gap is to be determined by trial.

  • Patent number: 4759102
Abstract: The cleaning apparatus for cleaning the set of flats of a revolving flats card has a shaft supported by a carrier. The shaft is pivotable about the lengthwise axis of the shaft together with a cleaning brush fixedly mounted on the shaft and extending over the width of the card. In accordance with the invention, the carrier is movably mounted on the card framework in such a manner that at the flats cleaning position the spacing of the path of movement of the cleaning brush from the set of flats is variable, whereby during the pivotal movement of the cleaning brush effecting cleaning of the flats clothing the spacing of the path of movement of the cleaning brush from the set of flats at the flats cleaning position is smaller than during the return movement of the cleaning brush. The cleaning apparatus affords the advantage of improved cleaning of the flats clothing.
