  • Patent number: 7543610
Abstract: A thread clamp for a rapier head (1) is presented which contains a clamping part (4) for firmly clamping a weft thread (3) and an actuator (5) for moving the clamping part (4). The actuator (5) includes a ferromagnetic core (12), an armature (11) and at least one winding (13) which is arranged on the core or armature in order to produce a magnetic field in the latter and to move the armature and the clamping part, which is operatively connected to the latter, with the core (12) having two limbs (12.1, 12.2) between which the armature (11) is movably arranged, and with each limb being provided with a permanent magnet (14.1, 14.2) in order to hold the armature at one of the two rest positions in the current-free state of the winding.

  • Publication number: 20080018176
Abstract: A power supply for a rapier head (1) of a rapier weaving machine, which is connected to a rapier bar which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction or to a band (2) which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction, is presented. The power supply includes an inductive coupling device with at least one primary induction coil (8) and with at least one secondary induction coil (9) which can be inductively coupled to the primary induction coil, with the secondary induction coil (9) being formed on the rapier bar or on the band (2) respectively.

  • Patent number: 7249725
Abstract: In accordance with the invention a thread carrying apparatus is proposed with a thread (2) lying in contact with or passing along the thread carrying apparatus with friction in the operating state. The thread carrying apparatus includes excitation means (3) for producing oscillations which reduce the frictional force between the thread (2) and the thread carrying apparatus. In this arrangement a resonator body (4) is provided with the thread (2) lying in contact with or passing along the resonator body with friction in the operating state. The resonator body (4) is designed in such a manner that the excitation means (3) produce resonant structural sound oscillations in the resonator body (4).

  • Publication number: 20030037591
Abstract: The combination of a human medical vessel prosthesis (1) comprising a measuring probe (2) with a transponder, which measuring probe can be anchored to the vessel prosthesis, and allows the function of the vessel prosthesis to be monitored over longer periods of time. Suitable measurement parameters such as pressure values can be detected by the measuring probe (2) and be transmitted in a wireless manner with the aid of the transponder to a transceiver apparatus where they are available for evaluation.

  • Patent number: 6464834
Abstract: A process is provided for operating a calender roll including a roll jacket surrounding an inner chamber. The process includes creating an active oscillation in the inner chamber that acts upon the roll jacket. By creating an oscillation within the calender roll, the appearance of undesired bar rings, which form on the external surface of the roll jacket due to operational exciting forces, is avoided. Furthermore, calender roll is provided including a roll jacket surrounding an inner chamber, and at least one actuator provided within said inner chamber acting upon said roll jacket.

  • Patent number: 6217298
Abstract: The transmission comprises at least three induction systems which are arranged axially one after the other or coaxially one above the other and which can be rotated about a common axis of rotation (4). The induction system in the middle is in each case provided in the side faces with a winding which are connected to one another and are executed in such a manner that the magnetic rotary fields which arise by means of relative movement between the induction system in the middle and one adjacent induction system effect a relative movement between the induction system in the middle and the other adjacent induction system in order to produce an output movement.
