Patent number: 5952915Abstract: A signal pillar includes a plurality of signal elements (2, 2') which are identical in their design and are arranged one on top of the other. In order to achieve simple and effective mechanical and electrical connection, a bayonet closure arrangement (13) is provided between the signal elements (2, 2') and an electrical connection base (3), and connection between respectively adjacent components are made by connecting wires having L-shaped legs (31) and U-shaped connecting bridges (27).Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 1996Date of Patent: September 14, 1999Assignee: Werma-Signalgeraete GmbH & Co.Inventors: Erich Marquardt, Udo Goetz

Patent number: 4447687Abstract: A pushbutton switch, suitable particularly for keyboards of business machines substantially comprises a cup-shaped casing which may be made in two parts and has its cup edge side closed by a pushbutton. Against the side of the button, the upper end of a return spring is applied whose lower end bears against an angle leg of a contact member, and which is secured against buckling preferably by a holding member. Another angle leg of the contact member applies against a shank surface which is provided with a shoulder for permitting an abrupt tilting of the contact member upon pushing the button. Movable contacts may be provided on one or the other angle legs of the contact member. The fixed contacts are then located accordingly. The fixed contacts may be formed by end portions of connecting elements extending to the outside or by elements of a circuit board. To assemble the keyboard a plurality of such switch casings are manufactured integrally with a cover plate.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 1982Date of Patent: May 8, 1984Assignee: Marquardt GmbHInventors: Erich Marquardt, Ekkehard Sachs

Patent number: 4035596Abstract: A switch construction comprises a housing which has a base wall and an upstanding side wall with first and second contact terminals arranged in spaced locations in the housing and with one of them bent over on its top so as to form a contact making portion. A spring member has an upper part with one end engaged in a V-shaped bearing on the one contact terminal and has a lower part with a contact arm which is engageable with the contact portion of the other terminal. The upper and lower parts of the spring member are interconnected by a curved bearing portion which is engaged and supported in the housing sidewall. In addition the spring member has an intermediate part of the upper portion which is substantially straight and which is engageable by an extension of an actuation member which is engaged on the housing and confined for movement upwardly and downwardly within predetermined limits.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 1976Date of Patent: July 12, 1977Assignee: J. & J. Patent number: 3997745Abstract: The switch is provided with a fixed contact and a movable contact attached to a contact arm which is held by means of a spring in at least one of the portions of said contact arm. The spring and the contact arm are made in one piece to form a bracket-shaped catch element which is pivotally mounted in a bearing in the housing. The spring is stressed at least in the dead center position thereof.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 1974Date of Patent: December 14, 1976Assignee: Firma J & J MarquardtInventors: Erich Marquardt, Werner Storz

Patent number: 3982086Abstract: An electrical switch, comprises a housing having spaced apart side walls each with a bearing recess which is located above spaced apart fixed contacts. An actuator is guided in the housing between the side walls and moves toward the fixed contacts to move first leg portions of substantially U-shape contact springs to flex these leg portions and pivot intermediate web portions which are pivotal in the bearing recesses and, thereafter, snap second leg portions into engagement with the fixed contacts. The arrangement may include two sets of spaced apart contact members between which the second leg portions of the leaf springs are movable and the first leg portions are preferably pivotally connected between depending feet of the actuating member.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1975Date of Patent: September 21, 1976Assignee: Firma J. & J.
