    Abstract: The present invention concerns a polyether ether ketone (PEEK) composition containing lanthanum hydroxide. It was found that lanthanum hydroxide can be used for long-term stabilization of a PEEK composition over a period of 500 hours or more, preferably 1000 to 3000 hours or more at a temperature of from 210° C. to 300° C., preferably 230° C. to 270° C.
